Has anyone else got Avacyn Fatigue now? I mean, I love the idea that the symbol is an element tying a lot of things together. But it just seems to be on any card at all* involving non-Skirsdag humans, and that just makes me feel overloaded by it, not pleased to catch sight of it.
*Yes, this is an exaggeration.

The symbol is formed by Thraben Doomsayer's lapels when he pulls his coat closed.

gavin mentions the idea of sacrificing a phyrexian metamorph to fetch vorapede, but I'm fairly certian this only work is if the metamorph was copying another four-drop. CMC is a copiable value, I believe.

Nitpick: Phyrexian Metamorph copies mana cost, so it's not likely it'll be searching up Vorapede for you, unless you (or your opponent) already had something out with cmc 4. [edit] Gah. 11 seconds behind.

Uhh...just feel I should point out that there's a glaring error in today's Daily Deck post. The article points out that you can copy Stormbound Geist with Phyrexian Metamorph, and then pod away the metamorph into a Vorapede or Acidic Slime, when that simply isn't true. As a copy of Geist, the Metamorph's CMC is 3, not 4, so you can only pod it into another Metamorph.
The original article that's linked to even points out that you can't actually ever pod into a 5-drop in the deck. Which seems incredibly silly to me, but nonetheless.
What the hell, guys? You're telling people to go run this deck at FNM tonight, and then blatantly misinform players how to even play the thing. I usually don't get all uppity about little mistakes on the site, trust me I know how tough it is to keep errors out of stuff like this, but this one is pretty blatant and potentially harmful to your audience. I'd fix it ASAP if at all possible.

Here are the five Cards of the Day for this week:
Gruesome Discovery Careful Study Cabal Interrogator Arrest Decree of Justice
And the theme is:
Spoiler:
Show
The plot of every episode of Law & Order. It starts with a gruesome discovery, followed by a careful study of the scene, asking several people several questions, an arrest, and a decree of justice.
I greatly enjoyed this theme. It took me seeing today's card to figure it out, and I was a little off (I thought it was Spoiler:
Show
the process of solving a crime in general ). Excellent work, Monty!

Oke, the thing is, if you really want you basicly copy a creature with undying, sack it to find something again, but this time your original Phyrexian Metamorph can comeback as a plain 4 cmc Phyrexian Metamorph with a +1/+1 counter on it. The result is that NOW it can find the Vorapede . And if you do it, you find a new Phyrexian Metamorph to copy a creature with undying, and as soon as that one dies it can comeback as a Vorapede
Complex? yes, vunerable to tricks which just do a -1/-1 or 1 damage to a creature? Extremely.. Like the writer of the original article said, it is easier to just work up the mana and hardcast them.
personally i think a singleton of Skinrender , Hellrider , Dungeon Geists , Entomber Exarch or Solemn Simulacrum Depending on your taste would work great here though.
