Of course, we will have to pay for them. www.joystiq.com/2012/02/10/south-korean-...Game Rating Board, South Korea's premiere games rating board, has listed another entry in the Magic: The Gathering series of games, presumably for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 again. As things look, Stainless Games and Wizards of the Coast have no plans of stopping the annual installments.
It shouldn't come as much of a surprise: both the original Duels of the Planeswalkers and Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 performed well, the former having sold over 500,000 copies on XBLA, while the latter was one of PSN's top performers last year. Considering both previous installments launched in the summer, we're betting we'll be hearing about Duels 2013 soon.
Now, who didn't see this coming?

Not too sure why you think they are going to fix anything just because they are releasing another version.
I'd bet another game mode, overhauled UI, a few minor fixes, and many of the coding bugs that exist.
Either that, or that's the new game mode. "Planeswalkingaroundtofindthenewcodingerrors"

Fool me once. Shame on you. (2009) Fool me twice. Shame on me. (2012) Fool me thrice? Looks like we get to find out with 2013.

Interesting. If this turns out to be Duels 2012 2.1 though thus 10 "new" decks with a few unlocks then I'll pass. On the other hand, I'm excited to see new features. Will we be to edit out decks in a much more advanced way? Is there a mana pool? Are there other decks than stupid creature aggro decks? Is there more than one soundtrack that's playing in online matches?

Confirms what we all suspect, that all development time is being put into the next game and none into fixing this game. Disgraceful, and I won't be touching it with a 6 foot pole. I'd be happy to beta test it though, but they weren't interested when I offered with D12.

Come on guys, i know theyve not fixed any bugs, theyve abandoned 2 games previously, but maybe, just maybe theres a good reason for it. We all know DOTP 09 was a marketing promotion scheme, and sold better than what anybody including wizards and stainless could possible imagine. So they rehash the engine, slap a few new cards in with a new interface to test the waters...Holy cardgame batman, we sold amazingly well second time around. Lets face it, you arent going to sink millions into a project you arent sure was a fluke or not. Who cares about a few bugs (from a business point of view) if this was just a marketing ploy? Now DOTP is its own entity then they have reason to play ball. But here we are, third time lucky. We know its not a fluke, we know people want this game and everybody knows the bugs are pretty bad, some could go as far as game breaking. However, i think under the circumstances we shouldnt just say 'no' to 2013. This could be on a new engine, thats been highly playtested and thought out, we dont know. Maybe the DLC packs were an excuse to buy some time, which is most probably the case. If i was stainless and i had such a devout following, robvalue being one of the top guys to follow this game, even offering free playtesting and solutions to problems, then i would not let 2013 ship in the condition the previous two magic games were released. The fanbase that was constructed over the past few years would not be jeopordised again due to poor bug fixing/testing. Plus a lot of the guys time was to release the Magic : Toolbox on IOS, hopefully some of their ideas will ship over to consoles. I can see 2013 being the real deal, something thats its own game backed up by fans and not the hopes of a marketing scheme. Im not defending stainless for their total lack of communication on these forums, as that is 100% unnacceptable, but before you turn yourselves into martyrs and hail this game as the next coming of satan, lets just stand back, take stock and see whats possibly going on on their side. Now, if it does get released as a bug fest and theyve paid little attention, then abandon ship asap. But until that happens lets just see how it turns out. It would be a very sad day for company and community alike to see DOTP go down the pan due to lack of understanding and communication on both sides. Think about it, how much you pay for this game compared to how much time you put in, its pennies per hour of enjoyment, you wont find that deal anywhere else in the entertainment world. Thats just my thoughts and opinions though

Maybe that's not such a bad thing. Of course it sucks for Duels2012 but maybe Wizards/Stainless take things more serious and better game with less bugs and better balancing (Shame on you Wizards for not giving Dragon's Roar any Terminate s).
Now I know why they stopped to answer my questions in the Requested Features and Changes Thread though...Hope they don't ignore all those points.
