Whoever lost to the Lost in the Woods deck will never not draft enchantment removal again.
My forum good deeds. Fortunately, left unpunished: Spoiler:

So far, none of the games have been play dependant, they've all been entirely based on the draws.
I've felt like this for a long time - basically since Innistrad came in, or a little after. Even the de facto best deck, Delver, feels like it just relies on occasional blowout hands, but when it doesn't draw Swords or flip Delver, it just poops out.
I don't think CFB have chosen their deck particularly well, which seems borne out since PVDDR is the only standout today. They just don't do anything early on, so they suffer from all the same draw-dependance but with nothing to do Turns 1-3 if the opponents go monster.
It's really not even about giving niche cards to black.
It should be about giving black cards to Niche.

So the new standard is looking like the same UW aggro deck as before, plus another that used to be UR? With splashing for Lingering Souls ? Or have other viable decks come up?

You know CFB doesn't have the right deck when LSV is 0-4 with it

Heartless Summoning is pretty bad. The artifact build.... if only there was the best artifact removal spell ever printed for the the RG deck that makes up nearly half the format....

I bet CFB played Naya just to be able to SB Ray of Revelations and Ancient Grudge in their SB

I liked seeing that mono-black, but it's not top tier material.
This top 8 is thoroughly disappointing. It looks like the next few months of standard will be pretty lame.

We do have a Pod deck and a BG Rock-esque deck. No RDW, no BW or GW tokens, no MonoBlack, no MonoGreen, no Tempered Steel (that surprised me the most). The two Wolf Run decks which made top8 are EXACTLY equal; do you think this version is the best possible one? Of the four WU Delver decks, two went Esper for Lingering Souls , one went Humans with Champion of the Parish , Doomed Traveler and Gather the Townsfolk , and one chose to go maindeck Runechanter's Pike and Sword of War and Peace . Which one do you think is better? All green decks but Pod played some silver bullets to go with Green Sun's Zenith , but chose to play only two of them rather than the full playset. Do you think two is the correct number? Of the decks that didn't make top8, which one of them do you think deserve a second look? Who do you think is gonna claim the PT? I'm rooting for PV here

I'm liking Tempered Steel, myself; Delver certainly has enough problems with it, though honestly I'm really tempted to start running SB Leonin Abunas just for WRR; that deck's a pain in the a$$. :S
