Zombies is going to be a deck. We're all not sure if it will be teir 1 yet but that's what we're finding out right? So here's my take on straight up aggro. My sideboard is entirely up in the air but I'll list it anyway. I'm sure people will have opinions so please share them.

NE WAI!

4 Gravecrawler
4 Diregraf Ghoul
4 Snapcaster Mage
4 Diregraf Captain
4 Geralf's Messenger
4 Phyrexian Obliterator

4 Tragic Slip
4 Think Twice
3 Geth's Verdict
3 Inquisitor's Flail

4 Darkslick Shores
4 Drowned Catacomb
14 Swamp

SB:
4 Mana Leak
3 Mental Misstep
3 Surgical Extraction
3 Steel Sabotage
2 Sever the Bloodline

Looks good. A quick, simple aggro deck. Personally though, I'd take out the control elements and focus on aggro. You only have seven possible cards to flashback with Snapcaster Mage (well, technically 11 counting Think Twice , but what a waste that would be), so I'd suggest replacing the mage with something with more of a tribal synergy. Likewise, every mana you spend to cast Think Twice is one fewer mana you can spend on creatures to attack with. It's card advantage, but with a zombie build, speed seems more important.

My version, for what it's worth:
4 x Darkslick Shores
4 x Drowned Catacomb
16 x Swamp

4 x Black Cat
4 x Cemetary Reaper
4 x Diregraf Captain
4 x Diregraf Ghoul
2 x Gravecaller
4 x Highborn Ghoul
4 x Skinrender

2 x Dismember
4 x Smallpox
4 x Tragic Slip

Sideboard
3 x Phyrexian Crusader
2 x Black Sun's Zenith
2 x Despise
2 x Distress
4 x Mana Leak
2 x Negate

Obviously, it owes a lot to the Zombie Pox deck here, where I saw your link in the first place. Fast, simple aggro, but with eight lords. As for Geralf's Messenger , Phyrexian Obliterator or more Gravecrawler , I might include them after I trade for them, but I don't have them right now. So anyways, Your version probably has more options and more of a backup plan if you stall, but mine looks more direct. If you've kill them by turn five, what do you need the backup plan for?

I've been play testing similar decks, but find that I roll over and die to Mirran Crusader and all sorts of untargetable blue dudes. You will want some way to remove creatures without targeting them, at least for the sb.

Geth's Verdict does that.

I'm not convinced you need the blue, or if you do, that more than the 8 duals (0 Islands) is necessary. (The only reason I'd bother running blue is for the Captain, literally nothing else).

Think Twice is totally inappropriate here, and Snapcaster is okay but probably not as good as just playing more removal spells.

Black Cat is terrible. Reaper is pretty bad too, especially compared with Messenger and Unbreathing Horde.

I wonder if Lashwrithe might be worth playing over Obliterator or not.

It should be about giving black cards to Niche.

FULL DISCLOSURE:  The dream was post AVR so there was a copy of Slayer's Stronghold.  I decided to keep it pre AVR in my post here.

EDIT: I just remembered.  The Skirges might have been 2x Whipflare and 1x something else, probably War and Peace.

EDIT2:  Currently 4-0 in my first four games with this.  My opponents have been very angry.  I fought off a Wurmcoil from Grixis for six turns before I found my second Dispatch.  Jeez, I can do a lot of damage.

EDIT3: Streak broken.  Lost to an unexpected Overrun.    Cracking a Shrine for 10 wasn't enough.

also, I've been playtesting this deck in my sleep today

I would take out think twice for Despise/Doom Blade. And Flail for a sword or maybe even pike. Pike probably isn't going to be nearly as useful as W&P though. I'd think smallpox would take care of Crusader.

Also, Id take out Think Twice for Lashwrithe. =p

Thanks for the replies. I've been testing the deck and I have been constantly siding out think twice and the flail so they're gone. The Obliterators have been amazing expecially since Dismember isn't run anymore. Lashwrithe is not an option, in my opinion, since mono black is so barren of answers compared to UB. Plus, equipment isn't what it used to be with all the efficient removal that is being played now and Diregraf Captain gives just enough reach to take close games. The addition of Liliana has been beneficial even though it further inflates the 3cc slot. She's just so versatile against so many decks and can serve as a 3rd contingency plan, albeit a rare one. Altar's Reap is there in place of Think Twice but I haven't seen it in testing yet so I can't comment on it's performance. Geralf's Messenger should be mentioned as well. He is just brutal and if you curve out with him your opponent's health quickly drops to winnable levels. This deck can be super quick. 3 one drops and 2 Messengers is rediculous. I'm looking forward to casting Altar's Reap with him in the future. The two net you 4 dmg and 2 cards for 5 mana.

The sideboard is a bit transitional. All I need to do against aggro is answer their plays then dump my hand of zombies to finish them off. Steel Sabotage has been an allstar against a lot of decks like Tempered Steel, Mage Blade, Birthing Pod, and anything with Wurmcoils. After board the deck plays a lot like Solar Flare in that it's controling the gamestate and gaining card advantage then finishing with creatures. It's very effective and I may end up moving more towards that route since Liliana is main deck. I will test Vapor Snags main deck tomorrow in place of 1 Snapcaster 1 Liliana and 1 Obliterator, adding them to the SB. If I like it then I may start working with Runecaster's Pike. We'll see!

 NE WAI enough jibber jabber.
