I have an Unruly Mob on the board. If two of my creatures are destroyed during combat do those two creatures immediately go to the graveyard, triggering my Mob? Or do they go at the end of combat?

I'm pretty sure they go the GY as a state based action and Unruly Mob's ability is triggered and put on the stack.

How were these creatures destroyed?

You'll get the counters immeditately. The creatures will be put into the graveyard immediately, and the Mob will trigger then, and the ability will ressolve before combat moves on.

It doesn't matter how they die.
… and then, the squirrels came.

Well, shock targets only one creature so if two were cast, the creatures were destroyed (lethal damage marked on it) one after another... that is just after each shock resolved.

Rules question? Have you read the Basic rulebook already? No? Why not take some time to do that?

How to autocard (do this to specify a card in your posts):
Type [c]Black Lotus[/c] to get Black Lotus .
Type [c=Black Lotus]The Overpowered One[/c] to get The Overpowered One .
