Hokori, Dust Drinker is my Commander. The goal: Bring him into play as soon as possible along with Lightning Greaves . Be sure to have a decent amount of artifacts that give me mana, such as Manalith . And because this deck is always playing catchup, I have board clearing creature destruction. And the creatures are weaker than all the other colors, so the focus is on flying to avoid combat altogether if possible.

Problems I'm having is the mana balance. I want to keep the amount of Plains at minimum, or basically just enough to get those mana producing artifacts in play, and then stop relying on the basic lands. It seems that so far, this deck needs to mulligan often to get the right balance. Draws seem to favor too much of something at the expense of something else (i.e. creatures and not enough mana producing artifacts, or artifacts and not enough creatures, or plains and creatures but not enough artifacts). So the ideal draw, after a potential mulligan, should have 2 or 3 plains and at least 2 mana producing artifacts and some creatures. That's easier said than done.

The deck includes:

22x Plains , Terrain Generator , and Kabira Crossroads . One planeswalker in Elspeth, Knight-Errant .

Mana producing artifacts:

Creatures:

Destruction/Enchantment removal spells:

"Rock beats scissors, paper beats rock, scissors beat paper, rock beats scissors..."  I'm not interested in what card beats what. That's a circular discussion.

I generally dont like this kind of control deck but its fun to deck build so I am going to throw a ton of ideas at you.

Protecting you: These cards will keep people from attacking you since they will have very little mana to throw around

Windborn muse
Ghostly Prison

Keeping your general in play: Your entire deck revolves around keeping the general in play.

Mask of Avacyn Hexproof enough said
General's Kabuto Shroud and combat damage prevention for your general, swing without mercy!
Darksteel plate  indestructible, no hexproof or shroud and won't survive removal effects like Path to Exile But will survive all board wipes and any form of combat damage. Excludes: Hallowed Burial Sorry that card is just awesome
Champion's helm Another Hexproof with a buff since hes legendary
Nim Deathmantle Provided you have 4 mana to pay he will keep coming back onto the field with this equipped, oh wrath of god, 4 mana sorry hes back. Also gives him evasion against non-black creatures and a buff.

Other Equipment that is just plain awesome

First and foremost an absolute most for your deck... Sword of Feast and Famine Untaps your lands and destroys the options in your opponent's hands.

Strata Scythe  It is Armored Ascension On an equipment, awesome.
Sword of fire and Ice Card draw, extra damage, can kill any utility creatures you need, and a buff with protection red/blue.
Sword of Light and shadow Pro Black, Pro White, buff (+2/+2) Minor Life gain, but most importantly, graveyard recursion.
Konda's Banner Obvious pump
Umezawa's Jitte Considering your deck is trying to keep the game very slow this card could get useful to take out enemy creatures or just go lethal with your commander.
Second Sunrise  Someone pulls of an Akroma's Vengeance or else wise lets you recover and everyone loves you for it.

Equipment/Artifact support and Shennanigans

Leonin Shikari Instant equipment speed, oh your targeting something of mine, oh no  that has hexproof/shroud
PureSteel Paladin Awesome, all those instant cast equipment all 0, can switch around as you need and free
Unwinding Clock Omg yes please use this, casting spells on everyones turns with the next card
Vedalken Orrery Good without as you can cast the spells on the end step of their turns to save mana to protect your self should you have a reaction..
Stoneforge Mystic A tutor on a stick which future lets you put equipment out on the field, most of your equipment aren't that expensive but you can do this on other people's turns and maybe for a mana or two cheaper.
Kemba, Kha Regent Overrun them with tokens.

Land destruction
Global Ruin Awesome in mono white, guess what you choose plains, if they aren't mono colored they are hurting. (most EDH decks are multicolored) This doesn't hurt you at all.
Armageddon Destroy all lands, use it when you have board advantage and you know can win
Ravages of war Just another version of the above.

Creature and land manipulation

Limited Resources More people in EDH the better guess what until this is gone no one is going past five lands muahahaha
Kismet Just slow all your opponents down especially in the land department
Loxodon Gatekeeper Creature version of the above.
Winter orb One of the most hated cards that your general is a creature version of.
Storm Cauldron Land bounce for lawls, first ability may conflict with what you want to do, just throwing that out there.
Ring of Gix Despite the fact it has echo which isnt terrible it will allow you to tap down the opponents lands and keep them locked, or stop generals from attacking you etc, with Unwinding clock this gets nasty
Icy manipulator Superior version of the above.
Scepter of Dominance Another tap target perm
Mishra's Helix Tap X target lands tee hee. (I am enjoying the idea of this deck to much lol)
Mana web Your opponents tapped a land, well tap the rest of those that they control, more lockdown
Candelabra of Tawnos Untap your own lands

Land Tax Gets you lands out of your deck so you can keep drawing what you want.

Another mana producing artifact worth looking at

Khalni Gem Returning tapped lands doesn't hurt you too much for a double white producer.

Tutors:

enlightened tutor Get what you need.
Steelshaper's gift Equipment tutor, go get that Sword of feast and famine

Just some ideas.

Troll?  Just in case, Horoki is mono-white, so you can't run it.  Also incase you are talking about the decks weakness to Frost Titan, well, thats a reasonable downside that can be answered by a simple Swords to Plowshares .

I don't really care for baseless rebuttals in the shape of card names, i.e. " Frost Titan ." On any given day, you don't know what deck I'm going to play, so you won't have the freedom to build your deck against mine.  If you always run with a Frost Titan in your deck, then I will quickly adapt and make you wish you never ran it again.

@Minervas_touch: Those are some good suggestions, but they seem to be all over the place! I do need more hexproof equipment like you said. I've now added Mask of Avacyn , though I don't have any others to utilize in my deck. I want to keep most of my cards focused on a homogenic goal. Right now that goal is opponent's land tapped out, with my artifacts producing more. Then play catch up with flying creatures and board clearing spells. I will have to hunt down some of your board-clearing spell suggestions, but I think Ravages of War is pretty much unattainable to me. I'd never spend $150.00 on a card that is only used in one deck, and the chance of drawing it is like 1 in 8.

Yeah I have access to Gilded Lotus , Thran Dynamo , Khalni Gem , and even Sisay's Ring . But I have found in playtesting that, the higher cost mana producing artifacts don't pan out so great. I need ones that I can play for 2 or 3 mana.

Somehow I overlooked Plague Myr . Also considering Honor-Worn Shaku , Springleaf Drum , and a Sol Ring (if I can get one for a reasonable price).
