The mox alters are freeking awesome. The sol ring is somewhat sad.
At least his braingeyser doesn't have legs.

Consider my mind blown sir Markus Staeheli.
Those alteration cards are fabulous, especially the moxen (okay, so I'm a sucker for dragons XD).
I do have one question though. How does one tell apart cards from Alpha/Beta/Unlimited? I don't see any date markers or expansion symbols on the cards so I'm stumped.
******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** From Mark Rosewater's Tumblr: the0uroboros asked: How in the same set can we have a hexproof, unsacrificable(not a word) creature AND a land that makes it uncounterable. How does this lead to interactive play? I believe I’m able to play my creature and you have to deal with it is much more interactive than you counter my creature. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Post #777

That signed Beta set shows me the one thing that modern Magic will unfortunately never have: Gravitas and nostalgic value.
I knew the attempt to "make the game simpler and more [accessible] to new players" would get forgotten and it sure didn't take long.

Thank you for the kind words.
As a collector it is a unique opportunity to share something with the community. Maybe in the future I might be allowed to show some of my other signed Magic sets.

I noticed that Nevinyrral's Disk was also signed by Larry Niven.

wtf Wizards! Fay Jones isn't dead. Your mixing her up with the Architect. She's still alive in Seattle.
Oh no! I'll get that fixed when I get into the office Monday morning. Thanks for the correction.
This just in: Beloved artist Fay Jones was gunned down early Monday morning. Police have no suspects at this time, but are investigating a note left at the scene stating simply "fixed".
