So, I've never played red and I figured since I'm just getting back into magic and I wanna see how I am gonna fair at FNM, so why not kill two birds with one stone and construct a t2 red deck specifically RDW.

So this is what I'm looking at to construct for my list for FNM.
I'm looking for all sorts of help; sideboard, main deck choices and all that sort of stuff.

RDW

Lands:
21 x Mountain

Creatures:
3 x Chandra's Phoenix
2 x Grim Lavamancer
4 x Stormblood Berserker
4 x Stromkirk Noble
4 x Goblin Fireslinger
2 x Hero of Oxid Ridge

Other Spells:
4 x Incinerate
4 x Shrine of Burning Rage
4 x Arc trail
3 x Geistflame
3 x Brimstone Volley

Planeswalkers:
2 x Koth of the Hammer

Sideboard:
3 x Vulshok Refugee
3 x Traitorous Blood
3 x Manic Vandal
3 x Volt Charge
2 x Nihil Spellbomb

I prefer Gut Shot to Geistflame in RDW, personally, and Volt Charge is mathematically better than Brimstone Volley in a red deck like yours (Koth, Stromkirk, Stormblood,  Shrine).

Otherwise, your list is fine.

It should be about giving black cards to Niche.

Would you say that Brimstone Volley is better or worse than Incinerate? A 5 damage burn spell is great but is it playable? Should you have it?

I have Volt Charge on the sideboard, I do suppose you're right though. I was trying to be a hipster RDW but I guess I should go mainstream.

I don't know how reckless waif is, it feels like it gives my opponent so much control over when it changes. But if you have any solid suggestions on what I can replace in the main deck and or sideboard to play it I'd be all for it and trying it out.

I like reckless waif and have been happy with it in my RDW deck. Honestly, I feel it works well since if your opponent doesn't have an answer, it is a decent creature early on. It also works well in partnership w/ stormblood to activate bloodthirst early and give you a good amount of total power early on. Honestly, you might just wanna include one or 2, although I'm not sure what you'd actually out it in for. I also like the idea of furnace scamp just cause it has nice synergy w/ brimstone, but again, I'm not sure what you would take out for it.

Well as of now based on Mr. Indigo's sound judgment and advice I'm making a main deck swap so it'll look like this now

RDW

Lands:
21 x Mountain

Creatures:
3 x Chandra's Phoenix
2 x Grim Lavamancer
4 x Stormblood Berserker
4 x Stromkirk Noble
4 x Goblin Fireslinger
2 x Hero of Oxid Ridge

Other Spells:
4 x Incinerate
4 x Shrine of Burning Rage
4 x Arc trail
3 x Geistflame
3 x Volt Charge

Planeswalkers:
2 x Koth of the Hammer

Sideboard:
3 x Vulshok Refugee
3 x Traitorous Blood
3 x Manic Vandal
3 x Brimstone Volley
2 x Nihil Spellbomb

So I am not even main decking brimstone now.

That is a tougher call.

My burn suite in RDW is 4 Gut Shot, 4 Arc Trail, 4 Volt Charge. Arc Trail used to be Incinerate, but I found with tokens on the rise, the ability to two-fer a Crusader and something else was pretty good compared to instant speed, and there's not a whole lot at 3 toughness that you need to kill at two mana.

I wouldn't say 2 Brimstone on top of Volt Charges is necessarily bad, but I probably wouldn't go more than that as you don't want all your burn to be locked at 3 mana.

I find the new metagame is more like that.

Instead of running 4 of a specific card, try and split them because both are better in certain circumstances during the course of a game.

Running a split gives you the same card-type, but different opportunities to use them depending how you need them since neither card is "essential" to use.
