my friend has joraga treespeaker  he has it leveled and uses the tap ability to gain 2 mana... he then levels it up from that mana. can he do that when it is already tapped? or will he have to get mana from another source to level? sorry for the no title for the thread.. dunno what happened there

Nothing about the level-up ability requires the creature to be untapped.

The creature doesn't need to be untapped to level up.
