If I steal a Obliterator from someone else and use it to block his 5/3 Phyrexian Crusader, what happens?

This is what I thought but our local level 1 judge said the Obliterator died with no sac'ing because the damage is in the form of -1/-1 counters.

That doesn't make sense. Infect (This creature deals damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters and to players in the form of poison counters.)
It says it "deals damage"
Phyrexian Obliterator says: Whenever a source deals damage to Phyrexian Obliterator, that source's controller sacrifices that many permanents.
Infect creatures deal damage and obliterator makes the controller of a source that deals damage sacrifice that many permanents.
The form that damage takes is irrelevant.

that is the same thing I said-the damage form does not matter as long as there is damage being dealt. I lost that one but not this week! Thanks peeps.

Might be worth pointing out that Whispering Specter 's third ability would be completely useless if infect damage didn't counter as dealing damage.

Just in case you need it, here's your proof to show him: 702.88c Damage dealt to a creature by a source with infect isn‘t marked on that creature. Rather, it
causes that many -1/-1 counters to be put on that creature. See rule 119.3.

He shouldn't even need a rulebook quote, it says so right on the card; he can just tell them to read it.
Infect (This creature deals damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters and to players in the form of poison counters.) (emphasis mine).
