Has anyone else noticed that the picture for Olivia Valdaren has a weird glitch in it. Both of her feet are visible and dangling below and behind here. And yet she is resting her right hand on something that seems to be protruding under her dress. It's almost like the artist accidentally drew both feet when they meant to have her right knee bent under the dress. Or perhaps there is something else under that dress that makes a large protrusion...

Second post beat me to it.

What's wrong with you OP?  Don't you ever fly around with a glass of blood and wear dresses?  :?

Only, perhaps, if she had glued that dress to her hand...

This is a case of Honest Artist Mistake, and since you view cards in such a small format, it just was missed.  Either that, or there's a Zombie under the dress.

No, she's picking up her dress. She's just being snooty about it by keeping her fingers straight. It's the picking-up-fabric version of keeping your pinky out.

And so people say to me, "How do I know if a word is real?" You know, anyone who's read a children's book knows that love makes things real. If you love a word, use it! That makes it real. Being in the dictionary is an artificial distinction; it doesn't make the word any more real than any other word. If you love a word, it becomes real.

zammm is right (wow if I had a £ for every time that was the case...).

Didnt MaRo or someone address this on the mothership?

That makes no sense to me.

If they spelled the ability out on the card in full then it would not be allowed in a mono-black Commander deck, but because they used a keyword to save space it is allowed?

Yup, just like you can have Birds of paradise in a mono green deck but not Noble Hierarch . YAY COLOR IDENTITY

I love this description. Like the cows are sponges filled with milk. I can see it all Nick Parks claymation-style with the cow's eyes bugging out momentarily as a giant farmer squeezes it like a squeaky dog toy, and milk shoots out of it.

Sorry. Not buying it. Have you ever *held* the train of a dress?  Here is a close up of what it looks like.

www.123rf.com/photo_1920953_a-close-shot...

As you can see from this reference photo, you can't *lift* a dress, especially one that is multi layered as the dress presented, with an open palm. It's not remotely possible. Anyone who has worn a heavy dress would tell you this.

So, unless I see MaRo dressed in Gown, Petticoat, and Slip, holding it up with a open palm, I'm not going to take his word at it. :D

I don't know why so many people are insistent that she's hold the dress up when (a) it's obvious that she's not, and (b) WotC has SAID that it was a mistake. The artist forgot to not draw both feet, because she was supposed to have one leg raised. Since both feet were drawn, she appears to have a *ahem* "third leg."
Ever feel like people on these forums can't possibly understand how wrong they are? Feeling trolled? Don't get mad. Report Post.

I thought Wizards had said the opposite, that shes just holding her dress with her fingers straight?
