No need to get up in arms over pictures everyone! As long as the content of the post and the picture do not break any rules then its no problem. (I dont need to photoshop to get that pale! Genetics hooooo) That being said to me personally after playing RDW in dailys on MTGO, I think it is on the way out of being a top deck, but it will still be played. The Wolf Run match-up can be very hard and very easy to lose with anything but an amazing hand or one that really abuses Shrines. Their ramp has bodys that trade with your guys and gets them land, and once they begin to snowball it is preaty much over. You could burn the creatures down, but essentially your always trading 1-1 and that is in their favor. Then the Mono green wolf runs deck just tosses out quick Thruns and Dungroves which can be equaly annoying. Against other control decks its a bit easier and gives you a bit of leeway but you still need decent draws to seal a game out. Any white deck should have timely reinforcements in the SB which can be a pain and an annoying stall card, specially if it comes down early. I could go on and on, but just make sure you have the right cards and know your match-ups well. If anyone wants to discuss or offer counter points please, lets have a hearty debate. I enjoy a hearty debate. Also (I ran into a sign during a Navy PT session. The sign was just above my head got caught on an edge I did not see and this gash happened. Left some hair on the edge. Relevence? Who knows)

You'll have to excuse me I thought this was a forum for Magic the Gathering not for people to post superfluous pictures as if anyone cares how you look or what your gender is. I would of said the same thing to anyone who feels the need to randomly insert pictures of themselves on the internet.
It's no different then if you were on a forum that would want a picture posted and you suddenly posted a picture of a magic card. It's silly and looks like you are trying to get attention or make some statement that no one needs or wants to hear.
Also as a ginger I assure you I am the palest person in this thread.
And it's said that youth's ,well only tragedy Is being unoriginal niche's solution to everything is always MOAR BLACK!
"ok, my legacy mono black control deck is getting hated out by light of day ..." "MOAR BLACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

RDW... is going to be a meta call. Any time control-heavy takes over, it's going to shine. Any time people try to squeeze a bit more power out in exchange for a touch of speed or reliability, bam, RDW will shock people again. For that matter, decks that use their life total as a resource make for some gravy too. Midrange and, given the presence of bodies that ramp when they die, being popular is gonna hurt. If counters look like they're coming back then I'd rock it. Heck, consider having RDW as a backup and then scout tournaments. Any time the meta looks like it's hating on Wolf and the like... well, then audible it.

Luckily, we have stop-having-fun guys to remind us that having anything more than 60 cards in your deck is tantamount to being a rapist and anyone considering it should be strung up by their **** .

Pictures are not silly, people just need to not get up in arms over a picture. Nothing in this thread was a problem until people made it a problem.
Get back on track with this thread and its topic of discussion otherwise I will close it. Last warning.

Things I learned this last FNM about RDW in no particular order: Immolating Souleater can block and trade with a Sword-wielding Ghost of Howard Taft . Grim Lavamancer doesn't really have enough fuel now with the good cheap burn gone and the game refocused on creatures. Also the fetches are gone. Stromkirk Noble and Stormblood Berserker both have relevant evasion vs. Pod. Sword of Feast and Famine is a nice 1-of in the 'board. Kessig Wolf Run turns creatures into X-damage spells. This is a very red card. Ran 2 Copperline Gorge , 2 Wolf Run and 4 Rootbound Crag . Would go 3 Copperline Gorge next time. Spikeshot Elder combos with Wolf Run very late game for horrifyingly-inefficient but renewable damage. Ancient Grudge is a must-have 4-of on account of the Swords that make hexproof creatures unfairly good. Tunnel Ignus would be a good sideboard against Valakut2, just keep one on hand for when they Slagstorm the previous one. Reckless Waif can cause opponents to make otherwise-silly plays to avoid facing down a 3/2. 11 seems to be the correct number of 1-drops. I tried 4 Noble, 2 Spikeshot, 3 Waif, 2 Lavamancer. Would recommend Lavamancer and a heavy instant-speed burn suite vs. UB control. UB control is stupid hard. Will experiment with different configurations of burn/recycle. Got mana screwed a lot at 24 land main, Brimstone Volley was always an unkicked Resounding Thunder when I needed the extra damage most. Need 4 Incinerate . Yes, it costs 1 more than Bolt, but it's still worth it. Double-Incinerate pTit is a solid play. Wolf run doesn't seem to have creature recursion. Will need first strike against Thrun, the Last Troll Chandra's Phoenix was okay, but the lower emphasis on burn neuters this slightly less than Lavamancer. Will try again Friday.

I have been playing RDW's for some time now, was really big on it before M12 came out and I find it is still competitive as hell. I have been played the mono red Koth build but it hits to many snags to run nonbasic lands like Rootbound Crag and Copperline Gorge. With that in mind the choice really comes down to Koth vs Ancient Grudge and Wolf run. I am getting more wins without Koth right now. A pumped Chandra's Phoenix has to be answered.
Cards I am having problems with right now and debating replacing are Grim Lavamancer and Reckless Waif. The thing is both can outright win me the game but they are winding up just being 1/1's a lot of the time.
I find a lot of people sideboard in Wurmcoil Engine vs RDW and Ancient Grudge honestly makes it easier to deal with then just a plane old Titan. Lots of smarter people then I run for Brimstone Volley but I never seam to have any luck with it.
Dismember is still a good sideboard card. That damn 0/13 turned into a nasty surprise when I showed 2 Dismembers in hand.
I like Act of Aggression. The instant speed nature of it can get you out of some nasty situations.

RDW is still a good deck that can win out of nowhere. The key to it is speed.
