Hi,

The main question for this thread is: Does anyone know a good life counter for an Andriod phone?
I have got one, which is good, and has extra features such as adding your decklists, and searching for cards. But in 4 player, it puts all scores next to each other any you have to scroll left/right to see all 4 life totals.
I have used my mates (on a .... iPhone) and i like how all 4 players life is on the screen at all times...

But as a side question - what do people like to have handy when playing a game? for me, its just a bucket load of 6 sided dice to use as counters, and a few beers

Can i kindly ask that this thread doesnt turn into an Android vs iOS bashing session

I just use plain old pen&paper for life totals.
Other than that some dice (6sided) and of course a whole load of token cards are all we need to play : )

edit: I mean, we don't "need" any of that stuff, but it makes things easier.

i would like to see a game of 4-player free for all where no-one uses dice, tokens, life counters or anything except the cards themselves....

i guess it would help if all the players were honest...

Android is open source. Write a life counter program.

Although i may be a geek when it comes to database design and SQL, i wouldn't know where to start on writing an app. assume it could be done in .net or similar?

Though I think I have to scroll with four players (maybe this is the one you're using), I'm a big fan of MTG Tracker.  I like the decklists ability and the statistics.

I've used The notepad on my phone before to keep track of life totals. Also the shop I play at typically has a WOTC notepad with columns on it for 4 to 6 players. Sadly I do not know anyone using an actual app to keep track of life on an android phone.
