Phyrexian Ingester

When I exile a Giant Spider with a Argentum Armor on it, do I get +2/+4 or +8/+10? And does the Equipment Artifact stay in play?

I'm assuming that A, the Ingester gets +8/+10 and that the Equipment stays in play. But I'd just like to make sure.

Thanks

+2/+4 and yes, the equipment stays on the battlefield.

The Ingester looks at the exiled card's current P/T, not the last known information about the creature it exiled.

It will get +2/+4.  It looks at card in exile, not what it looked like on the battlefield.

The equipment stays on the battlefield.

Please autocard:
[c]Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon[/c] = Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon
[c=Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon]Skittles[/c] = Skittles

Cards do what they say they do.  No more.  No less.

+2/+4, and the equipment stays.

Phyrexian Ingester wants the exiled creature card's power and toughness. This means the card that is on the Exile zone. Said card has no equipment on it, it is just an exiled Giant Spider creature card.

When you exile a creature, the equipment is not exiled too; it stays on the battlefield, unattached, and you can equip it to another creature later.

+2/+4.

Phyrexian Ingester looks at the creature card as it currently exists in the exile zone, not as it used to exist while it was on the battlefield. Argentum Armor remains on the battlefield.

If it were something like Fling , or Condemn , the relevant number would be whatever it was on the battlefield.

But with the Ingester, it's looking at the card while it's in exile (as already stated) without equipment, auras, etc.
