Bant seems fine. UWX draw spell, Wrath, new ring, the Selesnaya Charm is a 2/2 with flash AND a kil spell. The azorious charm is alright. You play thragtusk and the 3/3 for 3 that gain you 3 life as a stop gap. It shouldn't be that hard to survive till the late game and bury people.

Yeah, I think Centaur Healer is underrated. People always seem to forget how good Obstinate Baloth was against aggro, and this thing is pretty close to it. Detention Sphere is nuts. O-ring with the potential to 2 for 1 and another sweeper for tokens. I'm not sure about Azorius Charm. It could be good depending on the build I guess.
I wonder if splashing a 4th color or going straight UWR will be worth considering. Red gives diversified removal options. Black gives Disciple of Bolas and random stuff like Curse, Abrubt Decay. U/W seems like the best base for control no matter what direction you go.
Scars needs to hurry up and rotate so we can play control again.

UWR, again, will likely be more consistent and powerful than esper.
bant is probably better as midrange because of all the good dudes, but i could see UW control with ramp stuff too being alright.

ajb you do realize that ISD was worse for control than SOM right? or at least UBx control except maybe esper. I would much rather have ISD rotate than SOM but unfrotunately that's not the case.

Yes, I do realize ISD was bad for control, but ISD isn't rotating out for a year and SOM/M12 is rotating out in a matter of weeks. I find this format to be very stale right now, and I'm looking forward to rotation breathing in some new life. In any case, I'm mostly excited for RTR to rotate in because control may at least have a chance to be competitive again. Currently it really isn't and is basically only a fringe playable archetype.

4-0'd my FNM last night which was awesome, and then proceeded to get cursed out by my opponent
which was really amusing but still, at least I know there's some hope for UB still, at least at lower levels.
Also, am I the only one who thinks BUG superfriends might be amazing after rotation?
Tamiyo, Jace 4 and Lili 2 to control the board, then use garruk 3 and/or 2 to just pump out dudes and lay on the beats.
