In case it was missed, it nailed a Top 3 at SCG Kansas City.
It's not tier 1.
And yes, I do still need a volunteer for that to post in the tier 2 section. I also might look into moving g/w tokens to tier 1, since that deck had a spectacular showing last weekend.

There still aren't enough people playing the deck for it to be considered tier 1, Niche. It had numbers at states and has done a bit after that. That's enough to make it tier 2. I'm sorry that you feel differently, but you seem to be alone on this one.

Tiers proper are a numbers game; there is a noticable divide in attendance and Top 8 rates between the top 4-6 decks, and then the next bunch of playable and recognisable archetypes. Until Mono-Black Infect (or Tempered Steel, UW Control, etc.) start showing numbers in the first category, they're Tier 2 almost by definition.

Alrighty I am going to break this down, here are the numbers for top decks based on top 8 finishes. This includes states although you never know because state results have been erratic in finding but I get stats off of MTGTOP8, to help with deck placement.
Aggro RDW 41 Tokens 18 White Weenie (or saint weenie) 15 Tempered Steel 12 Infect 10
Control Wolf Run in general 86 Solar Flare 44 UB Control 23 Blade Control 21 Pod 10 UW Control 9 RuG 8
By not dwelving into other things and going by what I have just posted. Infect is not tier 1. I do not care what MTG Salvation says. It may be a good deck but it just does not have enough behind it to propel it to Tier 1. This is why we have the Tier 2 forum, it will be placed their until it warrants a spot.
That being said, we need a tokens, Blade control, and possible a White Weenie (Maybe, atleast Tier 2 with weenie) thread I think. Mono can you confirm this in this thread so we dont have to find each other to update lol.
