Fighting Spirit | Enchantment - AuraEnchant creature Whenever enchanted creature attacks alone, put a token onto the battlefield that's a copy of enchanted creature tapped and attacking. That token has "Sacrifice this at the beginning of the end step." A true warrior is never alone.

Mark of Courage | Enchantment - AuraEnchant creature When enchanted creature attacks, it fights target creature an opponent controls. Totem armor The brave are protected by more than steel and stone. Honor, virtue, courage: these will bear you to victory. These will bear you home.Being willing to rush into the fray feels very red (and fighting has been seen to be a red mechanic, a la Nightfall Predator ), but the "honor" aspect of the card feels white, hence the hybrid mana cost; I feel like it could go in either color. EDIT: made it that you had to fight whenever it attacked. Giving it the choice made it pretty nuts.

Well, I posted something, and it never seemed to have been posted. Time Warp! Praise of the Crowd Enchantment - Aura (Common) Enchant creature. Underdog - Enchanted creature has +3/+3, vigilance, and lifelink as long as you have less life than your opponent. "I hear their cheers, their songs, their adorations, and I answer - once more!" - Telicus, the AdoredI had a previous version that had double-strike in it. Very cool, but it would confuse newbies a ton when they deal first strike damage and then, because your life might then be higher than your opponents, lose double strike and NOT deal damage again! Although the concept of the Arena can be put in the idea of one-vs-one combat, I think that makes for VERY boring Magic play. Rather, the Arena should be about the combatants, the weapons... and the audience. Everyone cheers for the underdog, and it's a great mechanic for prolonging games by making whoever is behind able to easily get back ahead.

Denial of Disciplines Enchantment - AuraEnchant creature Whenever enchanted creature fights, blocks, or is blocked by a creature with First Strike, that creature loses First Strike and enchanted creature gains First Strike. The same is true for Flying, Trample, Lifelink, Deathtouch, Vigilance, Double Strike, Intimidate, Shroud, and Hexproof. ( This effect lasts indefinitely.) "Just because an opponent retains his weapons doesn't mean he hasn't been disarmed." - Azure Illusion, Arena Legend Simple idea overall. Tried to think what tactics a blue combatant would employ against enemies.

Sparring Partner Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature At the beginning of each combat phase, if enchanted creature is untapped, you may have enchanted creature fights target creature. If enchanted creature does not die from the fight, it gains +2/+2 until end of turn. If target creature does not die from the fight, it can't attack, block, fight, or become target of a fight until end of turn. Do this only once each turn. Some fighters win before their match begins. Some other win even in their deaths.Okay, it's a little twist from White usual auras. I tried to emphasize the combat phase matters and the fight mechanism. So, basically, it can be used as a creature boost and opponent's critter removal, or it can lock opponent's fatties so it can't do anything related to combat and fight. Of course, when the case is your 2/2 against opponent 0/4, both effects happen. In similar case, you also can use it enchanting your creature/opponent's creature and fighting your own creature, protecting your utility creature from being targeted by a fight (target creature can still use abilities). I hope it's not too complicated. EDIT: modified the wording a bit and change the mana cost.

My Standard deck: Setting SunThink of how Neo couldn't beat the robots, but they kept him around anyways to defeat Agent Smith. Sure, the robots might not like having a Neo running rampant because instead of playing their favorite 4 drop fatty robot, they have to play a bunch of one mana Matrixs to contain him, but at least Neo keeps Agent Smith from reanimating an Iona on turn two.
Are you saying I'm trying to blame my loss on something? I don't care that I lost, I care that he's a sore loser, and a cheater, and a liar.
CKY, are you bad at anything?
I really enjoy imagining this from Kevin's perspective. Because in Kevin's world, Rosewater actually reads everything he types. Mark is sitting there right now, reading this, and thinking "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled. . ." Or some such. He chuckles low, then clicks on "The Best Of KEVINSET" and says "Yes, this'll do just fine. A busty lady with banding who deals direct damage to Zones!? Why this will be the star of my next set, and no one will ever believe you Kevin." Then he closes his Macbook, so his servant may move it out of the way, while another servant puts a Fetal Richard Garfield Clone lathered in Steak Sauce in front of him. Then Mark Feasts.
I mean, In KevinWorld, Mark is reading the very words I'm typing as well. Heck, in KevinWorld maybe I am Mark.
I'm beginning to think CKY may be anime in real life...
Don't go anywhere CKY, I need to crash dramatically through your window and propose marriage and I don't want you throwing off my paradrop.
[In response to a thread about how hard grading is]
Upon reading this, I've found myself completely unable to operate in the world. I tried to decide what to eat for breakfast, and pondered the vast consequences of my choice. How do I balance my dietary needs against my desire to eat good-tasting food? Should I factor in how long it takes to prepare? Cereal is ready in moments, but bacon takes longer to cook.
Then there is the impact on other industries. Do people in the cereal industry deserve to be employed more than people in the bacon industry? Which industry should I support? I don't even have the data regarding HOW MUCH the cereal industry benefits from me eating a bowl of cereal, or how much the bacon industry benefits from me eating a side of bacon. How can I compare two qualities I can't even quantify?
And let's not forget the milk on the cereal. In addition to determining whether or not milk is healthy for me, how much that benefits the milk industry, and how much the people in the milk industry deserve my support, we have to factor in the fact that cows are put under brutal conditions in order to collect thier milk. Of course, the same goes for the pigs, and then they get killed. Of course, I really like bacon. So I need to come up with a scale that compares the value of cow happiness to pig happiness to my happiness. What trade-offs am I willing to make here? Does the fact that the pig gets put out of its misery count as a plus or a minus? Isn't bacon bad for me anyway?
Deciding what to eat for breakfast (or any meal) is impossible. Help me!
I must admit chinkeeyong, you have the most interesting character ideas; and you play them well.
Anyway, you'd be surprised about Time Stop. When I first saw that card as a relatively new player I didn't see its full potential until I read the reminder text. Is it that unintuitive, though? Mine I mean. What is possibility? Is it possible for me to type these words with my tusks? No, because I don't have tusks. Although I am now tempted to go buy some - obviously not from poachers or whatever - and use them as typing apparatus. I could be the best secretary ever. "What's your words per minute sir?" "Well, only six, but I use these tusks to type them." "You're hired!" That was the interview. And is anyone else disappointed that "apparati" is not the plural form of apparatus? I just could strangle a dictionary, because "apparatuses" is a real word. I guess it sounds pretty cool. I'll call them my Apparatusks.

Fight Pride Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature Enchanted creature gets +1/+1. Whenever enchanted creature fights, it gets +1/+1 until end of turn. Then, at the beginning of the end step, put a +1/+1 counter on enchanted creature. Kolrath prided himself on his fighting prowess even when off the arena, doubly so when he is in it and eternally so when he wins.
Sorry for the lackluster name, I'm too tired to think of a better one. This card could be mono-G, but I left it at GW to reflect the flavor of pride. (And also to balance it out by making it multicolored, I'd expect it to have an impact in the set's limited games if there's a lot of fighting involved as mentioned.)

Giant's Rage Enchantment - Aura ( U) Enchant creature Whenever enchanted creature fights a creature an opponent controls, if it would be destroyed, instead instead remove all damage from it and sacrifice Giant's Rage. If you do, this creature gets +4/+4 until the end of turn and fights that opponent's creature. "No, no. Don't do that. If you do, you'll just make him mad."
