You want to ramp, then Wave into Slimes, Titans, and Exarch and clone as many as you can.  You typically want to wait until you have 9 mana for Wave, but 8 is fine.

You know you cannot have waved clones copy other things brought into play by the wave, right?

Did you know that you can?

You can choose the order in which the permanents enter play off the wave.

Not quite. It's not that you choose the order they enter play, they all enter play at the same time.

Clones can copy things that enter play at the same time as them, though, so it's okay.

It's really not even about giving niche cards to black.

It should be about giving black cards to Niche.

Thanks for the clarification Indigo.

Adept is a very good tempo card against aggro strategies.

Off topic: Two of my friends who are i-phone owners asked me who steve jobs was today after seeing the news. *facepalm*

Incorrect.  That is exactly what they cannot do.  Because clones enter as something, the decision has to be made before both the clone and things that enter play at the same time enter.  Therefore, the clone cannot choose one of the things that enters at the same time.

But if the OP isn't content to take my word for it, ask in the rules forum, they'll be able to explain the relevant rules that say it is so better than me.  Or, in the case that I and my internet search-fu are wrong, be able to soundly correct me

I give you example....

Battlefield: Llanowar Elves...opponent

You hit Genesis Wave...and got Phyrexian Metamorph, Frost Titan, lands. Now you may choose to copy for Metamorph...I see only one creature on battlefield...Llanowar Elves

Sadly...you can't copy Frost

It means you need your creature on field like Acidic Slime or Frost Titan so you can hit your Genesis Wave so you can have clone to copy

The two above me are incorrect. I learned this rule through interactions with Ally cards. Cards entering the battlefield at the same time check the games state simultaneously, because your clone is there, it sees the frost Titan you got off the genesis wave at the same time, and can copy it. It's similar to rite of replication kicked on an ally. They all see each other etb and all have the same trigger, 5 murasa pyromancers do at least 5 damage each.
I'm new to the forums, and would really appreciate help on any of my deck lists, as those who live near me and play Magic is a small pool to draw from. I play EDH and Standard, and enjoy both Sealed and Draft in Limited.

Wort EDH

In standard I play U/w Delver/Illusions.

You are talking about something different there.  That's a trigger, a trigger caused by entering the battlefield.  Those do, indeed, trigger.  And if a clone entering the battlefield copies a critter on the battlefield with one of those triggers, it'll trigger for the clone.

However, the clone enter the battlefield as something else bit is different.  It is not a trigger.  And it requires that whatever it is copying is already on the battlefield, it cannot be something entering at the same time.

My mistake, I assumed cloning was an etb effect for some reason. It will work with renegade doppelgänger, but clones with the normal clone effect have to target before they etb. I was thinking it would see the other creature as they etb and copy, but since clone isn't a Citp effect it doesn't work like that. Sorry.

This makes me very sad.

I was pretty excited about this deck.
