This definitely doesn't mean what you think it means.

I was referring to the painting The Treachery of Images.

I know.

Decks I run

Spoiler: Show

I currently run a deck for Standard, Modern, Commander and Legacy.
For standard, I have a typical, horribly budget Rakdos Deck Wins.
For Modern, I have a B/G/U/W Draw-go Reanimator featuring my favorite creature, Wurmcoil Engine .
For Legacy, I'm trying too hard to break Pyromancer Ascension . I also run a Naya Zoo with all the oldies .
For Commander/EDH, I'm running The Mimeoplasm .
A little morals thing about me, I like winning through combos, but not infinitely.

However quiet, I am a Christian, so feel free to tell me you are too, it's always a relief.

Cheers!

Little known fact: Great Wall was part of a cycle that included Crevasse , Deadfall , Quagmire , and Undertow .

Standard didn't actually exist yet when this card was printed.
Completely missing the point...

The end is always nigh.

I hope this is sarcasm.

This is the least "sarcastic" response in the whole thread, I actually didn't know that!

But sheesh, creatures losing plainwalking? That COULD be game-breaking, against those 5 or so creatures that had plainswalk.......

I didn't know it until less than a week ago. I was looking over the Legends set for good examples of how bad some of the original legendary creatures were (like Tobias Andrion ), and stumbled upon the other cards in the cycle.

Well there is a slight chance that they print some awesome plainswalking creatures in the future, so that card could become useful but right now its pretty bad.

When Great Wall was printed, there was a grand total of one Plainswalker. (There are a whole four now.) That doesn't mean more could not have been designed - they could have been flavoured as creatures with natural camouflage, able to stalk their prey. But that didn't happen, leaving Great Wall as a poor relative if the others in its cycle.

There was a group of creatures that nullified landwalk abilities (well, basic landwalk anyway) in addition to the enchantment hosers. The relevant example is the magnificent Lord Magnus - the others all stood alone, at least.

I think the worst part of Great Wall, to me, was that it was a wasted card name.
Still blessed by Julia of Hillsdown.
