I have to say that from those previews the comic looks more like Prince of Persia than anything MTG related.  I like that style though.

I'm sad. Paraselene has the best art in Innistrad, and I was super excited to get it as my laptop's background; unfortunatly, my laptop has a screwed up resolution (1366 by 768), so it looks a bit stretched. I also don't like that the card isn't that good.

So Darkthicket Wolf weighs 100 thousand pounds, and puts on an extra 50 pounds when you pay 2G. Sounds about right to me.

Apparently Wizards' idea of a 'budget' deck is $250 (per SCG). Yes, their Mono-black infect is less expensive than the one at the SCG tournament, but that doesn't make it budget.

Yup, the more the average playerbase is willing to shell out for SCG stuff, the more they'll keep raising it.

Well, you have 2 options:

1: Resize it so the top fits and on the sides you see the computer background color. (Mine's black on the sides of my Angelic Destiny.)

2: Resize it to fit the width and let some of the top and bottom parts of the original get cut off.

You'd think a budget-friendly deck would, by definition, have NO mythics (well, I'm willing to make a pass for planeswalkers, but what's so irreplacable about the two copies of Skithiryx?)...

Yeah, this was my thought. Recent wallpapers have been so good for avoiding junking up the card art, and so I was looking forward to Paraselene . But then... bleh, what is that brown C-shape doing? Apart from drawing focus away from the lovely moon to make it look like some odd steampunk cog? I mean, I like steampunk art, but not when I was wanting a picture of the halo moon.

I could save the image and crop it to just outside the halo's borders, only extending downwards. (I mean, these are slideshow art pieces anyway, not actually wallpapers, so the aspect ratio doesn't matter to me.) But I can't really be bothered editing and cropping artwork right now, so this one gets filed with old classics like Ith, High Arcanist and Dralnu, Lich Lord where the wallpaper editing is painfully intrusive enough to make me not bother.

Yeah I just read that bit as well. Budget decks do NOT have 2 $50 per cards in their sideboard. I can forgive Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, since in reality hes only $10 per, which I do consider budgetish, and I also consider $5 per for crusader ok since neither of these two cards are going to break anyones bank unless you have NO buget at all.  I'll conceed that inkmoth is not really a buget card at $16 per. Its just the Lilliana's in the SB that really irk me, that they can say that this deck is budget in that way with that card in it.
