3 Inkmoth Nexus 3 Moorland Haunt 4 Seachrome Coast 4 Glacial Fortress 7 Plains 1 Island
4 Puresteel Paladin 3 Geist of Saint Traft (this card is pure win in this deck and the best reason to splash) 2 Fiend Hunter (wish I had more of these in here, but alas, nowhere to fit em) 4 Mirran Crusader
4 Flayer Husk 4 Mortarpod 2 Sword of War and Peace 1 Sword of Feast and Famine 1 Batterskull 2 Nim Deathmantle (quite the underrated piece of equipment) 1 Sylvok Lifestaff
2 Mox Opal
4 Dispatch 4 Ponder
And thats what I'm rocking right now... geist is amazing.. seriously!

Thought of a turn three win, provided your Crusader can get through on turn 3 (and if you get a perfect hand and draws lol. It could happen.) Turn 1
Show
Plains Two 0cmc artifacts Mox Opal Puresteel Paladin
Turn 2
Show
Plains Mirran Crusader
Turn 3
Show
Silver-Inlaid Dagger Inquisitor's Flail Equip both to Crusader
Attack! Crusader is a 5/2 that deals double combat damage, twice (5x2)x2 is 20 damage!
Man, I need to get the cards for one of these decks.

1. him deathmantle isn't that great of a card. 2. Blade splicer is more of a nuisance that a help in this deck. Your better of with etched champion. 3. Invisible stalker is where it's at. Especially over the geist of saint. He's a legendary that can be copied by phantasmal image or phyrexian metamorph as they copy before entering the battlefield and hexproof doesn't prevent it. So he's gonna die, alot.
Crusader ain't bad, but I don't wanna drop a 3cmc dude that can't swing in unless he's got a sword on. (I know he's g/b, but biggest competition is gonna be the colors u, w, and r.)
Also, you need 2 SoFaF. It's just that good. I'd even recommend a SoBaM. I like the mill, and the wolf token. Chump block or, ping with pod.
Also, an idea I had was perhaps including inquisitor's flail. Yes, the draw back is creature takes double dmg, but your not gonna be blocking with the dude wearing it, and it's dealing double dmg. Combine that with SoWaP and that's a sick hit.

Also, perhaps including think twice for card draw other than paladin would be a good idea. Or perhaps g-probe. Ponder is ok, but not a good replacement for preordain.

Which is more effective for aggro build? Etched Champion or Porcelain Legionnaire ? Considering the evasion, Etched Champion seems great, since the deck will be using a number of equipments. But Porcelain Legionnaire can push for early turn wins, although there is a risk of running out of gas in the midgame.

Etched champion all the way. Porcelain legionairre has a 1 toughness. Yes it comes down a turn sooner, but it dies easily to row. I feel the etched is better in this regards as it's protected immediately. Since a t3 metalcraft isn't a problem. Also, in my experience (due to the fact that the shop owner and another pal of mine play puresteel every fnm) the etched champion is better since it prevents things like another pro sworded guy swinging in while your wailing on them. I've debated adding spellskite md, rather than sb.
Also, back to nexus's build, I don't think the moorland is gonna be a useful card as the deck doesn't run that many creatures. So a 1 maybe a 2 of the moorland haunt would be ok. Id still rather have my 4 inkmoth nexus.

Has anyone got a list that has actually tested well against the expected Gauntlet of the post-INN metagame?
Every list I've seen of this deck has been taken apart by most competitive options, including Tempered Steel, U/x Control (UR, UBW, UW), Bant Birthing Pod. It gets the occasional Stalker/Geist -> Sword GG draws, but when it doesn't it seems really slow and clunky.
It's really not even about giving niche cards to black.
It should be about giving black cards to Niche.

Come catch up: 1.) I don't like Blade Splicer in the deck. It's a cute card but isn't really speeding us up at all. 2.) Etched Champion can wreck the mirror match. That's my opinion on the card. 3.) I haven't seen any list tested thoroughly yet. Let me know when you do so I can fill up the match up section. This archetype is waiting to be broken in a bad way. I'm going to cut my personal list down a bit. I will be including Mentor of the Meek over the Pristine Talisman . The Argentum Armor is coming out for something -- possibly more removal or another Wurmcoil Engine . My list is slower than most, but this deck can move fast. If you play with a full set of Inkmoth Nexus , a couple Mox Opal and deck manipulation, you can get and keep metalcraft very early in the game and plow ahead. The use of Ponder , Think Twice , Mentor of the Meek and Puresteel Paladin rush your deck into finding threats with ease. You should have a land drop every turn -- that is one caveat, and if you can afford it, the Mox Opal to help as backup mana. I conversely in my meta want to prepare for a longer game, so I have some much higher costed stuff for the occasion. But yes, this deck can move very fast. I'd like to see some match ups in the new meta, I have no time to go out myself right now, so I'm hoping some brave souls here do! Cheers.
