Won't be able to finish... period? Won't ever be able to finish? Or won't be able to continue hosting in the near to indefinite future, but plans to come back later?Either way,  . Is there any way somebody else could host the contest (not that I don't love Q, but I'd hate to see this whole thing abandoned at a moment's notice)?

He had all the information that all the contestants have, individually. If someone else volunteered to host, each contestant could just send the new host all of their currently active red apple cards, as well as their brown apple cards, and the new host would pick up from there (judging/picking criteria/distributing brown apple cards).
I'd offer, but I know from experience that I have nowhere near the patience required to do something like this.
