One other thing - with world as rich as Innistrad, Ravnica, etc..?
It just has me envisioning a RPG Magic game. To be Jace or Chandra on a mission with a complement of spells and an ever growing mana pool down exploring, meeting challenges with spells and in combination with other team/planeswalkers.
I think spell effect visuals, combinations, and innovations are extremely rich lands for game development in RPG games. And.. since many of us play RPG/magic based worlds to FEEL magic as something we are wielding.. well, games that do short-hand versions of a magic system (Elder Scrolls Daggerdale) - they're not doing what we're looking for.. yet.
Magic the Gathering is magic-based and an Planeswalker RPG console game with this magic system as it's base would be very... "oh yeah".
I had these thoughts as well, even before innistrad. In my opinion, they should make an rpg or mmorpg, where you can fight in a normal matter, and just play the card game with other players/npc's on the side. You could start on a certain plane, and use other planes as expansions. All of the artwork, the zones, the monsters, the story, all of its already there, such a magic game could possibly have limitless potential. A sort of total revamp of shandalar (wich in my opinion still is the best magic game ever).

"Besides, collaring demons, though demons are "pure evil", is pretty evil itself. That's slavery, and it's wrong."
That's how white does business. Look up The Dark, Homelands, Fallen Empires... Angry Mob, Preacher, Witch Hunter, Martyr's Cry, Reprisal... They havent done white stuff that mean in a long time.

Magic Demons are fairly solitary... But Huge! Eventually a world is corrupt enough the Big Monsters start coming out to EAT the normal little Vampires and Zombies. I wonder I'd Halo Hunter will reappear, Lord of the Pit, etc... There's never many Demons in a Magic set anyway.. But they are always big.

It's pretty obvious this is Black Vs. Everybody. Each of the countries are color focused ... Blacknis on all of them. Even the Vampires are forced into Mountians now... Which we've already seen led on in M12.
But the real battle is Black Vs. White... I'd guess Gideon and Sorin might play a part in this round too?

willpell and miguel.. going forward on the set/block breakdown and arch:
...
It's not a multicolor block; there is no multicolor subtheme. This has been stated. Though the tribes are spread among two colors each, there will be only a few multicolored cards.

Werewolves are red-green and geists (Spirits) are primarily white-blue, so it's not just black that is horrific here.

I think they've hit the nail on the head with this set in terms of flavour and story, I didn't like SoM block very much, can't really say why but it just didn't excite me, now Innistrad REALLY excites me, I love horror and have been waiting for a block with this feel for ages.

I know that's White's thing. Or one of them. It's a shame we don't see White's dark side more often. I'm frankly sick of White being "pure good" and Black being "pure evil" all the time. I have high hopes Innistrad will at least partially defy this trope.
Mark keeps pointing to Kamigawa when asked why White's never the bad guy. Hasn't it been enough years for White to fill the villain role again?

We just had a bunch of evil Phyrexian white guys - Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite , Priests of Norn , Suture Priest , Inquisitor Exarch ...

They weren't the villains, though. Every color was "evil", so of course white had to be. What I want to see is White be the villain. It's got the potential... Opressive Overlords who outlaw everything that they consider dangerous...
The first plane we see in Chandra's book, in fact, has exactly the type of white-aligned culture I'd love to see in a block.
