Connely Woods is running a weird RB(mostly black) deck, with Chandra.3, Chalice, Tezz's Gambit and D-Force. Featuring Blodhusk ritualist..... He was in a feature match, the deck looks.....awkward.

Kibler is apparently running RG monsters, a beatdown deck with Skinshifter etc.

Channel FIreball are on the Caw-blade front. Most of the X-0 players in constructed portion were Caw players....

FULL DISCLOSURE:  The dream was post AVR so there was a copy of Slayer's Stronghold.  I decided to keep it pre AVR in my post here.

EDIT: I just remembered.  The Skirges might have been 2x Whipflare and 1x something else, probably War and Peace.

EDIT2:  Currently 4-0 in my first four games with this.  My opponents have been very angry.  I fought off a Wurmcoil from Grixis for six turns before I found my second Dispatch.  Jeez, I can do a lot of damage.

EDIT3: Streak broken.  Lost to an unexpected Overrun.    Cracking a Shrine for 10 wasn't enough.

also, I've been playtesting this deck in my sleep today
that kinda freaked me out

The coverage keeps going on about Caw-Blade being very popular there, with veiled suggestions that the bans should have gone further. Do we have any knowledge about how many of them are the aggressive Caw-Blade decks with Heroes and Blade Splicers and such, and how many are the UW Control decks plus Hawks and Swords? The grinder lists were much more UW Control-like, with the 4 Hawks, 2 Emeria, 2 Sphinx 2 Reinforcements sort of setup.

No, that would be the upcoming PT Philadelphia.  One thing I will say about the Vintage coverage: I suspect half of the 'diversity' in Vintage is much like Legacy was until it started getting a lot of attention recently.

When you don't have all the mainstream pros playing it, the competition is actually fairly low. Consequently, the field stays diverse because people aren't punished for playing bad decks, so bad decks proliferate because bad decks can beat other bad decks. If Vintage was to be rolled into the mainstream tournament circuit, I would bet dollars to doughnuts that soon enough the format would become far less diverse. I think PVDDR was exactly right in his recent Fact/Fiction article when he spoke about Legacy, and I am certain the same sort of conditions apply to Vintage.

Correct, UK nats starts on the 19th of August, then PT Phily on the 2nd of September, busy schedule

Indigo, you not at nats? I find that surprising.

I'm Australian, but I didn't go to Regionals or Nats, I'm too busy applying for graduate jobs as I'm in my last year of law school.

I know Andrew Bennett and Matthew Anderson from university, though, they're both members (well, former member in Andrew's case) of the club I'm currently the Treasurer for. Matt Anderson is a casual player mostly, and I didn't even know he attended until he appeared in the Top 8 coverage.
