[Creatures x10] 4x Sea Gate Oracle 2x Moltensteel Dragon 2x Consecrated Sphinx 1x Inferno Titan 1x Wurmcoil Engine [Non-Creature x26] 4x Preordain 4x Mana Leak 4x Jace Beleren 4x Lightning Bolt 3x Stoic Rebuttal 2x Into the Roil 2x Burst Lightning 2x Spell Pierce 1x Red Sun's Zenith [Land x24] 8x Island 5x Mountain 3x Tectonic Edge 3x Evolving Wilds 3x Halimar Depths 2x Terramorphic Expanse Sideboard: (Modified from original.) Essential an older UR budget deck i ran with that did incredibly well. I unfortunatly dont have the new jace (which im iffy on) or the new chandra just yet. The meta has become very flexible. There is almost an even split between aggro, midrange, and control decks running amuck. I considered throwing in spell pierce but im not sure what to pull out. Any thoughts?

Did you consider Ponder in addition tot he Preordains to help with the Satchel? Also Stoic Rebuttal > Cancel . Worst case scenario they're the same, but you have a chance of getting the Metalcraft going to make it cheaper.

Yeah, I hear ya for the Stoic Rebuttal thanks for the reminder on that. I considered Ponder in addition, but there was already 11 sources of draw. And despite what the satchel reveals, its a positive effect.

While i took the shroud variation. It did well, but i seemed to run out of gas, and low on counters. I decided to try to fix this by letting go of the shroud creatures for things that will keep the flow going.
The snappers, jwar spinx, are all gone. My hope is that with the threats of the moltensteel dragons as early drops, the titan wurmcoil and sphinxes to finish things off with oracle replacing himself.
SB is being looked at.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

A little testing today against GB control.
4-2
The games came close but so far the sea gates and consecrated sphinx have really done the trick allowing me to never run out of gas and keep the card advantage up for answers and dealing out the damage.
