Took my list to a 32 person FNM. I lost in the finals to Miracle. Oh man was that a frustrating defeat. Nothing like losing to an entire deck based around luck sacking your way into victory. Here are a couple things from my experience.
1. Gideon and Tamiyo are annoying jerks, and not having main deck ways to get around planeswalkers is a mistake. 2. I beat delver pretty easily. Vapor snags did nothing against my 187 creatures and as long as you pod before you pass priority, there isnt much they can do to disrupt your plan. Stingerfling spider continues to be awesome here. 3. Stonelock continues to be amazing. 4. People do not seem to be running pod hate atm. I did not see a single torpor orb anywhere. Only grafdigger's cage which really doesn't hurt as much.
So with that in mind i am making a couple changes.
- 1 razor hippogriff +1 archon of justice -1 craterhoof behemoth +1 glimmerpoint stag -1 Deadeye navigator +1 MD Wurmcoil engine (mostly because I never wanted to go into elesh from sun or frost titan. I dont mind going into elesh from wurmcoil.) -2 SB Autumn's veil +2 SB Corrosive Gale (I can play around mana leaks. I would rather have a way to kill spirit and angel tokens) -1 SB Tree +1 SB Acidic Slime

So I did take my Bant list to a PTQ. Wound up going 4-2 drop. Won the first three rounds against Delver, Delver and Delver, lost to Solar Flare, beat RG aggro, lost to Delver. Definitely went into the tournament gorped out as hell on too little sleep, but I thought the deck did pretty well.
The Delver matchup is pretty awesome. All the three CMC removal dudes are great, three MD clones are gross, Angels are great (liked having two), Dungeon Geists is great, and Archon/Sphinx are absurd if not Snagged. Stingerfling, Gideon, and an extra Dungeon Geists out of the board make it really hard for Delver to win.
Stabilizing against aggro is pretty breezy. Plenty of value guys early, and once Bant hits its lategame, which it can do pretty quickly, RG has no chance. Elesh Norn/Wurmcoil out of the board, Gideon, Dungeon Geists, etc. Solar Flare is much harder. They kill/counter/Image most of our early-mid game, and then have a really nuts lategame that can be hard for Pod to answer. Lost that matchup 1-2 to Sunny beats.
General thoughts were that Angels are borked. I think I just generally want to play more Blade Splicers and Angels, which probably means I'd just hop to Esper Midrange, but anyway. Even as was, I liked it. Also, Aether Adept was awesome against Delver. Usually it was much better than Fiend Hunter since it prevented them snagging Hunter on my end step to let their guy back at me. Also, not sure what I was thinking by not main-decking Elesh Norn. Wanted to keep my curve lower, but still, that was mein derp.
@SimpleMan -- Archon over Hippogriff is most definitely correct. But Glimmerpoint Stag.. even if you just had a hard time with planeswalkers, is Stag really necessary there? It doesn't solve the problem, and on a general basis it's substantially worse than Angel. I'd much rather add an Angel and count on my deck to beat down game one, then pull in some O-rings or something for walkers game 2.
Pardon the novel.
Welcome to 2012. Blue has the most efficient creatures, black has the all-in monocolored aggro deck, the most controlling deck in the format is green-red, control decks lose to aggro in attrition wars, and counterspells aren't an answer to fatties.
Pack Rat is like Bitterblossom and Tarmogoyf had a black baby.

I think 1 glimmerpoint stag and 1 restoration angel is a nice split. Angel bounces my own creatures while stag is there to remove troublesome things like gideon, wurmcoil, o-ring, etc on crucial turns and allow me to go for the win or a big play. Its not a hard answer, but it is tutorable soft answer that allows me to create a window, and its vigilance really helps me when Im on the creature beatdown plan.

Here is what I have been playing and testing to some great sucess. Its Hetricks RUG pod he used to be a finalist in SCG Invitational 4 x birds of paradise 3 x llanowar elves 4 x strangleroot geist 2 x phantasmal image 1 x borderland ranger 1 x daybreak ranger 1 x deceiver exarch 1 x aether adept 4 x huntmaster of the fells 1 x phyrexian metamorph 1 x wolfir silverheart 1 x acidic slime 1 x zealous conscripts 1 x inferno titan 2 x bonfire of the damned 4 x green sun's zenith 4 x birthing pod 4 x copperline gorge 4 x hinterland harbor 2 x rootbound crag 10 x forest 2 x island 2 x mountain 2 x zealous conscripts 2 x hellrider 1 x natural end 2 x crushing vines 1 x kessig wolf run 1 x ancient grudge 1 x combust 1 x consecrated sphinx 3 x arc trail 1 x stingerfling spider This deck has just been amazing. Rocketing me and a friend to a 3-0 start to FNM and finishing 3-1-1 (ID) to 3rd place friday night. Beating out a BUG dredge deck with the climatic end of stealing a ghoultree for the win and beating 2 BR zombie decks pretty handily.

Residual energetic and psychic emenations from the spark of planewalkers going in and out of the blind eternities like it was a windmill eventually coalesced into beings named eldrazi who by their very nature could not consume mundane sources of nourishment to sustain their existence.
