Basic U/W controle with a board wiping venser win condition. Basicly you lock out with walls stonehorn and leaks till venser hits bounce till he -8's then you bounce a threat like sun titan gideon and wipe the board with DOJ gideon come back in then you smack with a 6/6 and exile anything that they play. Worldslayer can't get there so no. Puresteel might can. I like the card but way to expensive and forever Add some Tumble Magnet....great use with Venser  Also maybe add some Jace Beleren which is nice with Venser as well Add single Karn Liberated? Good card

I disagree...Tumble Magnet have good use for many reasons and great with Venser. Good luck without it if you want...UW players, we all using it

Magnet buys you time. Control decks need time against aggro, and this slows their tempo. I agree with others, Worldslayer isn't a good fit here (or really anywhere I've seen).
Try Sunblast Angel  . She's sweet with Gideon. And Venser for that matter. Plus, she beats.

leaks are for the titans. listen if a titan drops, im fine with that because if its anything other then vala its just in there for beats, and i have stonehorn for that pluss others. also what do you think mana leak is dong in there if i let vala resovle titan im already behind, not to mention cuts are hard to make in this deck. jace works but but between walls solem and ponders i have enough card draw to get away without him, and more valid targets to venser bounce. i do agree gideon sun angel works but its not for the deck because im using gideon as offensive and back up incase stonehorn doesnt make it out. the only valid point to put in tmagnet would be for agro and id rather side it in, walls can hold me there pluss one magnet doesnt hold mono red back that much id reather spend turn 3 doing something usefull

Well that is great of using Leak. Not much defense you bring. You have to understand the use of Magnet with Venser. You can tap and tap again from Venser hitting magnet. Yeah you can't stop fast aggro with it but you can stop on any important cards such as Gideon Jura (creature), Phyrexian Obliterator, Primeval Titan (for bring Valakut when attack), Everflowing Chalice, so much more threats you gonna see. You won''t stand a chance without Magnet. Pointless? Good luck! Magnet isn't pointless...it is very useful. You only need 2 so big deal

You can say the leaks are for the titans. But thing is. I was just playing my own version of UW control at fnm.My only losses came to the two valakut decks running around. Why? Because their ramp got out, and when it didnt. They played summoning trap on my phase when my deck didnt give me answers to deal with that situation. Forced to counter it, which made me came short when their titan DID drop. Yet I was able to stall and take atleast a win against each of those because the magnets kept the titan from swinging to bring out more land.
I tend to run 3 magnets, and even against aggro. It cant stop a full swarm, but it stops say somthing giving battle cry. Or that pesky infect land smacking you.
