This deck is going to be made to get people hooked on EDH who either don't want to make a deck or assume EDH sucks, or even never played magic before. Made for casual home play, by no means competative.

I am going to make this a sliver based deck because I've noticed most new players and the easiest decks to run are based around slivers.. or alteast thats how it works with all the people around me..

I want this deck to be fun without having to do alot of thinking, which means no combos ect, I want to be able to hand this deck off to someone without them needing to know what works with what.. so this is strictly a good fun cards deck.  It also needs to have alot of Anti-Agrresion cards to keep people from attempting to knock the player out and have people appreciating them at the table (I will be using a few of the cards from political puppets like: Propaganda , Ghostly Prison , Windborn Muse , all 5 Vows from the commander decks, and other things like howling mine and Edric, Spymaster of Trest .

I'd also like there to be cards that people will be excited to see in thier hands or be excited to have in thier hands because they think they rock based on first looks like.. Platinum Angel and Door to Nothingness ..  I will probably even throw in Avatar of Slaughter because it causes so much chaos while people avoid attacking them.

Lastly, I would like to avoid cards that new players would; deem bad, hesitant to play, or would require some thought.  Such as sac your own stuff to do things or discard your own stuff to do things.

I want this deck to be fun an easy!

Slivers? Really?

I know I can't speak for other people, but I know this would make me want to stay far, far away from EDH.

At least give them a patriarch's bidding and ways to tutor/recur it so they have some semblance of a chance of winning.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll deffinitly check my collection for it or might trade for one, also Slivers are very easy to grasp a concept of without having to do much stratagy.  I find new players love the idea of things getting bigger and more things and teaches players abilitys quickly, seeing as slivers have most of them! :P

No, I definitely get why they are a super-popular casual tribe; I had a sliver deck back in the day, who didn't? But in EDH slivers are quite weak and really have no business being anywhere near the format.
If this was the "lure people into kitchen-table casual!" deck then I would be all for it.

Yes this is by all means not for competitive play, this is more for like i said luring new people to EDH, if they want to be competative or more creative with combos and what not they will create thier own deck, I just want to draw people into the format with a very fun casual deck.  My  small group of players do not play disruption much, as you might be able to notice from my other decks particualary my Omnath EDH deck.  So its not like thier slivers wont get big fast unless they are killed in combat.

My goal is to have a complete deck that will have players not only enjoying the format but being very social with thier plays and actions, I feel slivers and the politicalness of this deck will hit that nail right on the head.  (Atleast I hope so!)

I never have seen this card before but I think there are many more efective changling like cards that dont require paying mana to make them slivers, such as Mirror Entity

Well unfortunatly they card reads it adds the new type not changes it so destroy or return all slivers would still be very effective regardless of this guys in play. However, the Unnatural Selection I threw in this deck could techincally do that if the time ever came, but i have the selection in this deck so that the player can have unlimited 4 mana mind controls with thier general in play.

The problem with this is new players dont always realise sometimes sacing a dude it worth the draw, but this deck doesnt have any see the top card of your library to know what you are drawing so I dont think new players will utilize this ability much, which is why I avoided sac dude abilitys on the slivers.  The only sac dude ability I have in here is Necrotic Sliver and thats just so players can remove cards that directly threaten them, i doubt they will use it much?

I don't think that works.   Mistform Sliver adds creature types to slivers, so if somebody has a spell which destroys all creatures of a chosen type (For example, Tsabo's Decree targeting you and naming Slivers), you could only add creature types to your slivers, not take away the fact that they are Slivers, thus you'd be spending mana to effectively do nothing (in most situations).  Still, Mistform Sliver can work to take advantage of other tribal effects (such as in an Elf Player has Coat of Arms in play)

- Talon Sliver
- Winged Sliver
(Already have a sliver that gives Double Strike and one that gives Flying.. I noticed late game talon and winged where dead draws when i'd rather just pay 2 colorless for dudes from queen..

+ Norn's Annex
+ Koskun Falls

..almost always costs players 5-6 mana per dude attacking vs this deck, and can cost UP to 14 mana per dude if all restraints are out.

This is a very fun deck for friends and its extremely social and hard to get around..  It helps wreck the decks of opponents mostly due to the player using Unnatural Selection , whether its to steal dudes with Sliver Overlord , Make random dudes huge your opponents are swinging at eachother with by making them slivers to get all your buffs, or if Crystalline Sliver is out turning thier dudes into slivers just to prevent things like casting Spell Buffs, Equiping, Aura's, or occasionally other opponents trying to kill spell them.

Deffinitly has been a hilarious and social deck!

With the release of Avacyn Restored I've provided an update on the deck.

Added:
Avacyn, angel of hope
Gisela, blade of goldnight

Primal surge
Cavern of souls
War Tax
War Cadence

I'm very excited to have found War Tax , it can keep yourself from having to tap out due to Avatar of Slaughter even if i pay zero mana for "x" and refuse to pay zero per creature.  Also War Cadence ends games when everyones forced to swing and swing big.
