I wonder if I could get some help with a deck I am trying to put together? I call it the Hollywood Horror deck. Its mainly Red / Black and I would like it to be standard legal. The cards in the deck represent everyone's favourite villains from the world of Horror Movies. I have the following cards in mind so far. Thrill-Kill Assassin Any psycho killer. Rakdos Ragemutt Hell Hound. Rix Maadi Guildmage Evil Wizard. Spawn of Rix Maadi The horror that lives under the bed / in closets etc. Rakdos Ringleader Evil Cult Leader. Carnival Hellsteed The horses that pul Dracula's personal carriage. Xathrid Gorgon Medusa. Rakdos Shred-Freak Freddie Kruger. Cryptborn Horror The big moviemonster. Rakdos Guildgate The headquaters or lair of the villain. Thank you for the help.

While I'm not new to Magic itself, I'm relatively new to the new style of gameplay, and the new creatures that have sprung up since I've been gone. Hence the creation of this account. xD To combat this, I've constructed a Naya Deck, with an emphasis on multi-colored creatures. I haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet, and I would appreciate some advice and tips on how to make this deck build the best possible. Also, I would prefer if this deck could also be tournament legal as well, if that's possible. Thanks in advance! Lands - 18 8 x Forest 3 x Plains 3 x Mountain 2 x Naya Panorama 2 x Jungle Shrine Spells & Artifacts - 20 4 x Withstand Death 4 x Naturalize 2 x Quiet Disrepair 2 x Shield of the Oversoul 4 x Whitesun's Passage 1 x Titanic Ultimatum 3 x Obelisk of Naya Creatures - 22 3 x Watchwolf 4 x Naya Hushblade 4 x Steward of Valeron 4 x Centaur Healer 4 x Woolly Thoctar 1 x Knight of New Alara 1 x Tolsimir Wolfblood 1 x Vigor

Naya Panorama isn't really all that great. Replace them with either Terramorphic Expanse or Evolving Wilds . Also, you need to increase your land count. The only decks I see that run less than 20 land are either Elf decks or whose average cmc is 2 or less. With your setup I'd probably shoot for around 23-24 land, which includes the fetchlands. Since you are using the Naya Hushblade, consider also Bant Sureblade and Jund Hackblade . You don't need White Sun's Passage since life gain for the sake of Lifegain isn't really good. Most of your spells you can probably change as well. Replace them with Burn spells like Lightning Bolt to give you additional reach. I'm not a fan of the artifact and enchantment destruction spells either. There are a few creatures that have those abilities so search for a few of them and add them in place of your current spells (Ex. Wispmare or Ingot Chewer ). Titanic Ultimatum seems a bit win-more here since you will rarely ever make that mana cost with your current configuration. I'd probably use that more in a token generator/ramp deck not so much here. In it's place, use Wilt-Leaf Liege due to the lower mana cost and buff it can provide. Kitchen Finks is great for the life gain and the body it provides too.
My Trade ThreadControl capabilities are in all the colors. The difference is in the way they say no.

Dear Deck Builders, I started to play Magic, The Gathering about 3 moths ago, and I am very interested in making a deck based on hydra creatures, which I have some, but don't really know how to build a proper deck to use them, so if you could help me to build a hydra deck, would be really appreciated. The hydras I currently own are: 4 x Primordial hydra4 x Protean hydra3 x Khalni hydra 2 x Phyrexian hydra I'm also planning to get some Phytohydra cards as I'm using most of the cards mentioned above in a green/white mana deck. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, I'm noobish when it comes to deck building. Just throwing together whatever I get in booster packs but lately I've been playing more dedicated people and it hasn't been effective as the casual play I'm used to with close friends in the same boat. I'm looking for maybe 3 separate decks. One that would be good against really fast decks that summon creatures in bulk and tokens. For instance a friend has a red goblin deck that lets him summon numerous goblins every turn and a lot of bonuses for them so he gets them really strong. Another has a white soldier token deck which is life building. Both have low overall mana costs and its hard to keep up. Separately I was thinking about the idea of a metal craft deck and a poison/ infect deck? Thoughts? I was also hoping for a red deck using Koth of the Hammer and dragons? So maybe 4 decks. Each will have a budget of up to $100. No preference on colors other than no more than 2 Colors not counting artifacts would be better. Legality doesn't matter. Any card goes.

Could you make a deck to exploit Vigilante Justice ? The idea of turning all my humans into burn spells intrigues me! Standard format, preferrably all common / uncommon, but just a couple easily-obtained-and-inexpensive rares would be okay. Thank you!

Dear deck builders,
I want to play with a new deck but i dont know what to do. I am building a maverick deck but i think the list is too old; could you help me with it posting a good one that you like? ( I cant afford things like karakas so any idea to change it)
And also i have another deck that i want to start with...but i have a doubt: should i build a green-black deck with some golgari and reanimate or a colored artifact deck with masther of etherium etc...? Also i think about a deck that can mill opponents deck but i am not really sure , should i wait until the new dimir cards?
Thank you!
