This is probably my second favorite deck that I have. I like the variety that Tariel's ability brings to the table, and the cards themselves are always fun. Fundamentally the same. Added a number of new sorceries- including Vindicate and Saltblast.

When playing Commander, before you add a card to your deck, you have to ask yourself:
"Is this card better than Rings ?"
If you play commander and don't have your deck[s] in the Decklist Compendium, maybe you should. Or if you're new or looking into the format, the compendium has some good advice for beginners as well as decklists.

Withered Wretch is a good card to add.  It not only deals with problematic cards in graveyards, but it also thins your opponents graveyards so you can pull only the creatures you want.

I only noticed two ways to get back creatures from your graveyard to play.  Have you thought about adding in something like Stitch Together or Animate Dead

Also, I like Thousand-Year Elixir as a way to get extra uses out of Generals that tap.

Karmic Guide ?  Its been errated to an Angel now so it fits thematically on both counts.

The thousand year is a good call. I used to have one and gave it too a friend for his Merieki deck. The deck does make good use of the new commander's ability yet. Managed to steal someones seedborn muse and was pleased. A way to untap the commander would be hot.

Just picked up a Volraths Stronghold as well to start reusing creatures. I was holding off because I hadn't made room for the Vindicate Sliver, but its in there now.

Good calls.

PS:  Thousand-Year Elixir is in my Merieke deck, too.  Those two were just MADE for each other, huh?

Two cards you're running raised my eyebrow: Fissure and Tower of Calamities. Since you're already running the two best colors for spot removal, do you really need these two expensive cards?

I've cut Fissure from my Hidetsugu deck as I've found it just too expensive for spot removal -- and that's in a color that has few other straight removal options. Wrecking Ball seems a bit better when you have the color identity for it (who regenerates their creatures?), and even that is a little pricy for my tastes. So I'm curious: what about Fissure is appealing to you?

As for the Tower, it seems like an overcosted Predator, Flagship . And if you're willing to pay a little more on the casting cost, Altar of Shadows will also save you mana on the acitvated ability.

The mention of Thousand-Year Elixir reminded me of Rings of Brighthearth . You could swap out a few of your lands for more fetches (any variety would work) to get some additional mileage out of it.

The fissure is there because I wanted LD instead of simple creature removal AND ran out of wrecking balls and haven't remembered to get more.

And I love tower of Calamities... its sooo bad for a repeatable effect! Its a place holder for the Altar really. I only have the one and its in my monoblack.

Rings might go in. Especially if I play Basalt Monolith. Two random creatures would be amazing, 6 random creatures would be living the dream!

Wanted to post the changes because of an opening hand I had the other day- Reassembling Skeleton AND Skullclamp !!! Some one soon after played a Crovax, Ascendant Hero and shut that down for a while... but it was still awesome!
