I find that I much prefer the card version of Lilliana. The alternate is just far too busy for my taste (where I love the card version).
There's nothing that puts me off a piece of art faster than excessive/superflous/impractical spikes, chains, bits and/or pieces. There are a couple of artists that do work for Magic that as a general rule I don't like any of the artwork from, just because of this.
