I feel your pain, and i also like this deck. You are right in that the game should allow you to resolve Warstorm Surge last in order to maximize damage. That, along with the game's already mentioned bad mana tapping really hinders this deck's potential.

Yes, this is an unfortunate result of the simplifications in the game. You should (in full Magic) be allowed to choose what order these abilities go on the stack, and thus what order they resolve (reverse order). The game does not even follow "APNAP" order (Active player, then Non-Active Player) which should mean the non-active player(s) (non turn player) should always have their triggered abilities resolve first when they trigger simultaneously. It instead follows a set of very weird, internal rules which make no sense at all.
I doubt they will allow you to choose order of triggers in D13, although this would be nice, but I do hope they at least follow APNAP order as there is absolutely no reason not to.

just played the most frustrating FFA 4 player game of my life (xbox live)
the opponent was able to skip my combat phase by playing an instant over and over again and not choosing a target until the timer was done. As soon as the main timer was done, the combat phase was skipped and it was his turn.
15 turns of this getting widdled down by a 1/1 unblockable

I would have quit after the second round of that happening; possibly even after the first. I don't give those kind of players the satisfaction of finishing a game out like that. I just know the whole time they are laughing thinking they are so great.

id figure he'd get more satisfaction after making me quit early, at least he had to work 20 minutes for it. threw in the towl at 5 health because by then i knew he was going the distance >.<

I hate that on the combat phase, if your opponent pause the timer, after the blue timer runs out, he has a second INFINITE timer... had about 5 losers doing it to me so I would quit instead of winning. (Although I didn't quit on the last one... after 20 minutes, he quit)... HATE THOSE TROLLS!

I have an issue using the expansion (black) deck and Archmage mode. (STEAM). Notice how I am not attacking with anything: cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/5598148911616...Happens regularly

Just recently might have stumbled into a bug involving Hero of Oxid Ridge and playing instants that produce 1/1 tokens e.x. Midnight Haunting . After the Hero's last abillity resolves, I find myself being able to block with the tokens which is understandable his abillity only resolves once on-screen and 1/1's that enter the battlefield should end up unaffected as they were not on the battlefield when it resolved, however further investigation as quote from the gatherer; "Creatures with power 1 or less can't block even if they weren't on the battlefield when the last ability resolved."Is this an actual bug? (I couldn't find it on the list or using a search.), is the gatherer wrong? or have I misunderstood the gatherer?

Yeah, that is a bug if they can block. Hero of Oxid Ridge isn't really applying this condition to the current creatures on the battlefield, but rather creating a new blocking condition for the turn.

okay, ill try to recount what happened to me in as much detail, as i remember.
- i was playing the campaign (expansion) as the archenemy (STEAM) - first round, first START phase - the first scheme set in motion was IGNITE THE CLONEFORGE - since it was my first turn, no cards had been played yet - IGNITE THE CLONEFORGE asks me to select a permanent to copy (there are none) - i cant abort it and cant play any cards from my hand - the only way to go on is to click CONTINIUE and by that skipping my FIRST MAIN phase and my COMBAT phase. - entering my SECOND MAIN phase and the game goes on normal from there.
this really bugs me, because it prevents me from using any 1mana creatures with e.g. haste during the first round.
