The latest art spoiled is so ridiculously good, like eyeball melting good.

... but a little annoyed at the Schirmer-Voss knight lady, because she appears to have a cross on her stomach. It's actually the little arrow-cross shape that's on her boots, but the arrow part is mostly hidden by her breasts, and so only the cross is obvious. Magic's supposed to steer clear or real world religious iconography, and I like that principle. I don't think it should be broken, but if it is broken, please let us have back the Unholy Strength art with the inverted pentacle. No way should only the good guys get to express their religion.
those aren't crosses. they are closer to fleur de lys than crosses. we keep a close eye on real world iconography... that's not to say things don't slip past us from very rare time to time, but we try very hard. that did not happen here.

Some very, very strong pieces in there. Spectrum judges are likely drooling. Jarvis better have a stack of napkins.
the results are in, i think Magic has somewhere between 15 and 18 pieces in this year. everything from cards to packaging art to webcomic pages.

18?! Good lord. Regardless, a new record no?
Congrats Jeremy.

Looking forward to more info on Graveborn. I'll likely end up getting it eventually (finally got the Fire and Lightning deck a few weeks ago...)
I've been playing (with some gaps) since the late 90's. Land Destruction can be fun! I really don't get the Command Tower backlash.

Graveborn is sooooo gonna be worth it. Oh yes :D I foresee much fodder for my far-too-numerous EDH decks :D

Some of the most surreal art for a magic set. The one that seems like Monomania is amazing.

OK, so let's start guessing what Swanland's spoiled piece from Graveborn is to. I'm betting it's something that's never had its art redone and has never been printed in foil. First guess? Ritual of the Machine .
