Community

I currently only play casually however I would like to get involved with my local Magic community. I am considering trying out a few FNM events at my local shop yet I do not think my standard deck is up to par. I am fine if it is limited for the FNM event but I would like to have a standard deck with a good shot at winning if they decide to run standard that week.

I will make a list of the 60 cards I am currently running for casual play and then I hope you can give me some suggestions on what to add and what to remove. Thanks for the time.

These are the cards I am currently running in my deck. I know it is a bit of a cluster with Artifacts and White tokens I feel the Sentinals provide decent defense and my magnets,Warder and revokers as well as Arrest provide a bit of quicksand to prevent my opponents from getting off to a quick start. I have my Scout and my Hippogriffs to retrieve my valued artifacts if they are to head towards the grave.

If not kept in check I could have several tokens on the board. I think Elspeth is a must for a deck like this. If I had her I could probably remove my rebirth.

I am considering splashing a couple red and throwing in some Galvanic Blast 's


But at the end of the day my deck is still a mess. I want to remove a lot of cards I currently use for x3 and x4 of better ones. Such as Hero of Bladehold and other cards that would help make this deck more efficient in a FNM setting.

I saw an interesting tactic in a thread on this site using liquimetal coating yesterday. Perhaps I could use that and Silverskin Armor paired with Divine Offering and Revoke Existence as my creature removal. This would allow me to remove my  Glimmerpoint Stag for a Hero of Bladehold . 

I am not a fan of my one drops at the moment. Creatures and Spells. They are just in there until I can find a more useful card to add.

What i have noticed in your deck is you have a ton of 1-ofs or better known as just having 1 card of a specific card. these decks seem to not run so well at FNM i have seen. they are very sporadic and dont seem to flow well. like you wont know what to expect next when you are drawing. because when you need a specific card its a 1/60 shot to pull it whereas if you have a more focused deck the card you absolutely need and you know is in there will be 4/60. when your chances are 1/15 or 1/60. i know which one im choosing lol. the successful decks tend to run really focused like 4-5 creatures that are either play-sets or 3-ofs. and same for the spells.
