I actually liked the myr deck.  I usually do not like his decks, but the use of crib swap with Myr Reservoir seemed actually repectable.

I would have used Semblance Anvil in the last deck in place of Helm of Awakening .  You would only need one copy to cast Cloudthresher for two, it doesn't help your opponent, and most of the cards whose cost you want to reduce are creatures anyway.

I liked all three decks, especially the Dissipation Field deck.  One thing I would like to note though.  If you have Dissipation Field out you can't keep returning it with Paleoloth since Dissipation Field puts it back in your hand.  Of course it works fine if you don't have Dissipation Field and the end objective is achieved either way.

For the Kemba deck, you probably should have stuck with just cats. Also, Leonin Shikari belongs in that deck, to abuse the Greaves .

@BrokenBoySoldier - These decks are almost always meant for casual play, and that format is basically anything agreed upon goes.

Your comment implies that people only play Standard; that's simply not the case. These decks aren't intended on being tournament-quality decks. This whole column is about generating enthusiasm around card interactions, not creating netdeck templates. If the decks were limited to the boring Standard card pool it would just create a needless handicap on design space.

This.

Point is that restrictions breed creativity, but too much restrictions hinders it. It's possible to build nice interactive Standard legal decks, but they would be a lot less interesting than the ones with a greater cardpool. People don't only play Standard. And even if the decks were restricted to Standard, there would be no point for doing so, since they wouldn't be competitively playable anyway.

That said, I liked the last very much. It's a nice idea and something that I hadn't thought about. Congratulations on this one.

But yes, semblance anvil would've been better than the helm.

How to autocard and use decklist format  ---> Show
For autocarding, write [c][/c] with the name of the card inside it.

[c]Island[/c] = Island

For linking a card to Gatherer without writting the name of said card for readers, use the autocard brackets together with and equal sign and right the name of the real card. Then put the message you want inside the tags, like you would do with autocarding. Like this:

[c=Curse of the Cabal]Captain Never-resolves[/c] = Captain Never-resolves

For using the decklist format, follow this:
[deck]
4* Terramorphic Expanse
4* Evolving Wilds
...
[/deck]

It equals:

4 x Terramorphic Expanse
4 x Evolving Wilds
...

I like storm crow because I really like crows in real life, as an animal, and the card isn't terribly stupid, but packs a good deal of nostalgia and also a chunck of the game's history. Oh, it's a brilliant plan.  You see, Bolas was travelling through shadowmoor, causing trouble, when he saw a Wickerbough Elder with its stylin' dead scarecrow hat.  Now, Bolas being Bolas took the awesome hat and he put it on his head, but even with all his titanic powers of magic he couldn't make it fit.  He grabbed some more scarecrows, but then a little kithkin girl asked if he was trying to build a toupee.  "BY ALL THE POWERS IN THE MULTIVERSE!" he roared, "I WILL HAVE A HAT WORTHY OF MY GLORY." and so he went through his Dark Lore of Doom (tm) looking for something he could make into a hat that would look as stylish on him as a scarecrow does on a treefolk.  He thought about the Phyrexians, but they were covered in goopy oil that would make his nonexistant hair greasy.  He Tried out angels for a while but they didn't sit quite right.  Then, he looked under "e" (because in the Elder Draconic alphabet, "e" for Eldrazi is right next to "h" for Hat) in his Dark Lore of Doom and saw depictions of the Eldrazi, and all their forms.
"THIS SHALL BE MY HAT!" he declared, poking a picture of Emrakul, "AND WITH IT I WILL USHER IN A NEW AGE OF DARKNESS -- ER, I MEAN A NEW AGE OF FASHION!"

And so Nicol Bolas masterminded the release of the Eldrazi.

The only Kors I would have had in the Kemba deck would have been skyfishers, to recur the stone forge mystics.
