Seriously? WoTC is giving you Money and you're complaining about the land count in a pre-con deck?
Is WoTC's plan to release on of these a year? I see slivers came out Nov 20th last year and this one will be released Nov 19 this year.

a couple of misfires in the deck, but basically a great little burn deck. Got some fun stuff in there, and besides it is Chain Lightning for crying out loud. Didn't think we'd get to see that one again.

I got 2 of these on Star-City for Half-Price! SCORE!!!
2X Chain Lightning 2x Grim Lavamancer 2x Reverberate
50x shiny mountains, of which I will keep maybe 15.
I think I basically just ordered a 50 dollar bill, eh?
Im trying to think how I want to rebuild the deck. Oh and I have 4 foil FNM Browbeats, which means the two I get in these decks can go to a worthy cause.
I am seriously considering scraping up the dough to get a third one of these, but by the time I do, it'll be up to 40 probably. Still- it seems somewhat worth it. 4x Foil Lightning Bolts from a special set go for how much again?
:D Star-City had 300 of these yesterday. betting its 0 now.

Is that a second head on Darksteel Sentinel? (on facing towards 'us' and one facing (our) left)
Of course, that's why it has Vigilance! (I guess)
Okay, whose idea was it to build a burn deck with 25 land?
My Standard RDW of pre-Scars season had 26 lands, and it was the correct call. And I wasn't playing any 4 or 5-drops main deck. I had a good amount of Landfall, though, but I digress. The Fire&Lightning deck has a 5-mana spell, an X-spell, two 4-mana spells and a good amount of 3-mana ones. It also has Figure of Destiny, which is many-hungry. I'd have made a little more of the lands nonbasic, but the amount itself looks about right. This is not your tournament Legacy burn deck with a few 3-mana spells and nothing more expansive; it can't run with 20 lands.
I love the way the deck was built and am really impressed by the overall value of the cards. I kinda wish I did like Darth and bought multiples from SCG while they were 17.99... Theyre 29.99 now. Oh well, they should be sold at reasonable price at my local shop. This is definitely has more incentive to it than the Slivers deck. The product will be undeniably sucessful.

These types of decks just don't do it for me. I love slivers and I never bothered picking up the sliver deck because it was all foil and I generally dislike foils as a whole.

As someone who plays Burn on a consistent basis, not only is this deck construction horrible but the big reasons for picking up this deck are now almost irrelevant. To begin, this *isn't* Burn at all; Burn decks play very few, if any, creatures. That's one of Burn's perks - you get virtual card advantage from your opponent having so many "kill or sacrifice a creature" cards in their deck that are useless. This "Fire and Lightning" deck is actually Sligh, and Sligh consistently loses in Legacy to faster clocks like Zoo, Merfolk, Storm, (and Burn). So the only reason you'd buy this deck is to rip it apart for your current (or under construction) Burn deck. 4 foil Bolts is fine enough, and if you want to use these foil lands instead of foil Zendikars or foil Unhinged, whatever's clever. But cards you actually would want 4 foils of - like Price of Progress and Fireblast and Chain Lightning - nope, just singletons (which is most of the deck, hence making the deck entirely unreliable). So now if I want to upgrade my Burn deck to foils, I need to either buy 4 decks @ $120 + tax, or get the cards individually which will end up costing me more. Of course, that's all Wizards' master plan in the first place - don't put too many "good" cards in there, otherwise we won't get as much money overall. As an example of why I think this deck isn't the best, this is my Burn deck below which has won me a few local Legacy tournaments and definitely gotten me into top 8's in more. I won't put the SB here because everyone's SB depends on their meta. Compare and contrast my Burn to Wizards' "Fire and Lightning". 19 Mountain4 Hellspark Elemental4 Keldon Marauders4 Lightning Bolt4 Chain Lightning4 Rift Bolt4 Lava Spike3 Incinerate 3 Volcanic Fallout 3 Sulfuric Vortex 4 Fireblast4 Price of Progress

The critics and complainers about the Fire and Lightning decklist are missing the point. The purpose of the deck is not to be a tuned, tournament quality deck, but to provide foil copies of a lot of fun cards. For casual constructed, this deck is like a greatest hits list of the cards you are constantly using. It's not even intended as a pure speed burn deck, its much more midrange. This list is about perfect, as far as I'm concerned.
