As I said, it seems pretty much only the Infect deck could qualify as Phyrexian; I don't see an other kind of deck having both enough Phyrexian cards and passing on almost all other SoM cards while still being strong and interesting.

In theory, some sort of proliferating Allies deck could be played -- it is only Game Day, after all.

Random card comments - I may not be Aaron Forsythe, but I consider my opinion to be just as important as his, and would totally do this if I had slightly more time on my hands.

As far as the benefit of the rest of Magic is concerned, gold cards in Legends were executed perfectly. They got all the excitement a designer could hope out of a splashy new mechanic without using up any of the valuable design space. Truly amazing.

A Jund/Grixis hybrid using black and red Unearth/Devour synergy plus Darkslick Drake and Perilous Myr, maybe a little proliferate for Scavenging Drake and Culling Dais.  (I'm not up to making a full list.)

Hmm, the obviously superior card is in the faction with 1/4 the number of watermars as the other.  Should we just rename game day to infect day?

Ah, a mistake many make at first. No one's opinion is as important as Aaron Forsythe's. No one. ;-P

It certainly is true that Aaron Forsythe's opinion matters, and that it's well informed.

Still, I have to say that I find cards like Planar Chaos and especially Grip of Chaos (because one has to figure out a way to randomize n ways for arbitrary n) to be 'way too much trouble to be fun. Confusion in the Ranks I could... tolerate.

On the other hand, the slow rollout of level up cards fits well with his comment on Kei Takahashi , and I wholeheartedly agree with his comment on Merfolk of the Pearl Trident ; Blue needs to take care of its mana curve too!

He's right that Favorable Destiny is a poor design, but I would have given it a pass because it was used in an era where the cycle of Chaoslace , Deathlace , Lifelace , Purelace , and Thoughtlace was in active use. If there isn't a card with which to pull a card's color out from under it (the more recent Moonlace will work too), then its qualification is meaningless.
Coming up with weird ideas to make everyone happy since 2008!

I have now started a blog as an appropriate place to put my crazy ideas.

Very important distinction - Aaron's comment is ONLY on the Legends printing of KT; it took me about two minutes to find it since the autocard link goes to the MED2 version.

And I like Favorable Destiny, it's a perfect Vorthos design.  I'd love to see it again in the next Color Matters set.

Those chaos cards are a good example of something that works MUCH better in MODO than in the Dead Tree (and mysterious blue plastic layer) format.

Only problem with that is that Game Day is a standard event. Unearth and Devour rotated out when Scars dropped.

Knights vs Dragons?  SEXY SEXY SEXY!  This is one set im definitely picking up.  I love red/white.  How much does someone want to bet me Hunted Dragon makes an appearance?
I like fun, but competitive decks.  So I might not play what is optimal but they have normally been tested to have a 2/3 winrate.
