Yeah I get that. Seem less than ideal in something like U/W control don't they.
U/W can run a full boat of them and be fine.
Look at it this way:
Turn 1: Colonnade
Turn 2: Mirrodin Land, Wall Of Omens
Turn 3: Basic, Wall Of Omens #2
Turn 4: Core Dual, Jace
Your mana is fixed for days, and no matter what you draw you can still go turn 2 wall and turn 6 theft card... which is a blessing for ANYTHING with trip color cost and not green.

Woo hoo...liquimetal coating. Whilst not an answer to pw's on its own it does let you shatter them or naturalize them or slice them in twain etc, you get the idea. Now this is more like it. I for one approve of this card.
Asceticism is also pretty chuffin insane.

W/U control already has 6-8 CIPT lands to begin with, so it's not that big of a deal. The Scars duals are there for aggro decks trying to use color-heavy early drops, which is nice for black/anything.
The coating could be ridiculous if they print better artifact hate, or at least a recurrable artifact destruction engine.

Agreed. I started skimming for this already in green and don't have much.
Worst case scenario is that we can rescue style with venser and blink 187 guys like Acidic Slime.

Yeah i'd come to the same conclusion and done the same as you Niche. A recurrable artifact destruction engine would be pretty awesome.

MaRo posted the criteria for what they would mark as a phyrexian card, and the censer doesn't fit the criteria. It's a limited card anyway.
