The Magic Invitational was an invite-only tournament that featured the game's very best players playing wacky formats. Why? Because winning meant taking home the title of champion and earning the right to have your likeness festooned onto a real Magic card you designed!
Does this mean that the Invitational is gone forever?
If so, that makes me sad.

In the first video they said that the Planeswalkers each have a cycle of cards, one common and one uncommon, and that one will always be a creature, what is Jace's creature? I can't see one on the visual spoiler

o.0 A movie, that is a surprise. I wonder what it will be like, IE - Animation etc. Very interesting. I hope this is decent, and that one day they visit The Thran/Urza era. Cant wait!
Once again, contest is for US only, I am dissapoint.

Are we allowed to submit more than one deck? Maybe I'm blind, but I'm not seeing a restriction on number of entries. Which would be good, I have a lot of ideas brewing for this already.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice is not a Magic movie. It's a live-action Disney movie loosely based on the Fantasia short of the same name. The movie will star Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel and Alfred Molina. It has nothing to do with MtG storyline elements and will only briefly feature characters playing the card game as it appears in real life.
I work at a movie theater. I've been keeping track of this film since I first heard about it. You can expect to see ads for it in boosters of M11.

Ahh yes, I see now, pays to read the article properly. Maybe one day though... still looks like a nice movie though (thanks Google).

what this is SO stupid, magic is global and yet you can only win the contest if your in the U.S. The least they could go and do is let Canada in on the fun. what the hell WotC, this sucks.

They're never going to do a competition that's open to non-US residents, simply because awarding prizes outside of the country is more trouble than it's worth. There are lots of taxes, legal restrictions, etc.
And I'm not quite sure what exactly I'm supposed to build for this thing...but I guess I'll give it a try.
By the way, you can only submit one deck, according to the rules that you have to say you read.
