4 Esper Charm 4 Jace's Ingenuity 4 Cryptic Command 4 Broken Ambitions 4 Day of Judgement 3 Negate 2 Volcanic Fallout 2 Cruel Ultimatum 2 Path to Exile (29)
And lands as you see fit. This idea is off the top of my head, but basically the deck can pretty much operate at instant speed, unless it wants to break the back of the opponent, either with cruel, day of J to smash aggro, or kozilek/ulamog to finish the game later on. It's obviously a rough idea, but I would expect to see 5cc decks playing somethign like this, although maelstrom pulse could really be useful in the world of walkers and bitterblossom.

@CyrusBales: I think the control matchups will be based on GIGANTIC threats to attack each other with. Ulamog is perfect. However, depending on mana, you may even want Emrakul in the side, against slower control matchups, as sometimes games can actually run that long and the card basically says, "you win." @lwaan: You could try it, but I think the amount of mass removal available prevents a lot of aggro decks from being Viable. I think you need to be Naya or Bant, with a playset of Dauntless Escort to be viable in the aggro. Red Decks are too vulnerable to Damnation. @Alienfinger: Though Fae/Teachings is still tier 1, I think that it may have trouble with the new tier 1 deck: Naya aggro. It's got Grove/Punishing combo, Tarmogoyf, Volcanic Fallout, Great Sable Stag, and Dauntless Escort. The U/R/G is good, but don't forget that against anti-Faerie hate, the Fae/Teachings deck can go Mystical Teachings toolbox-style, and go into a control game with singleton spot and mass removal, counter, and thus nullify the Volcanic Fallout effect. And Pickles no longer exists. It's Fae/Pickles now, and it can beat RDW pretty quick. This is my list for the B/G/W deck:
5 Plains
4 Swamp 5 Forest 2 Dakmor Salvage 3 Misty Rainforest 2 Tectonic Edge 3 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth 3 Verdant Catacombs 4 Kitchen Finks 4 Knight of the Reliquary 2 Lord of Extinction 1 Teneb, the Harvester 2 Wall of Omens 3 Damnation 4 Maelstrom Pulse 4 Raven’s Crime 2 Syphon Life 3 Thoughtseize
Syphon Life serves as a better version of the Grove/Fire combo when combined with Dakmor Salvage, and even if not it's still good for a serious life swing. Knight of the Reliquary can be a 3-turn clock by the time it enters the red zone, what with Fetches and Raven's crime there.
seems to me that the new meta will be quite slow, at least until scars comes and (hopefully) brings some extra push for aggro. though it's been less than a week from the announcement, so i'm sure i'm wrong
i was wondering though, does anyone think Landfall Boros is even remotely worthwhile? the amount of mass removal kind of scares me, but looking at magic-leagues last extended tournament, it seems as if it's not really that much of a problem...
I've been thinking about Faeries for a while, and two hate cards just continually pop up: Volcanic Fallout and Great Sable Stag . The fallout's too bad. As for the stag , sweeping's obviously the best option: Damnation 's on-color; back in standard, red was splashed for Firespout .
I don't have a set of Damnation s (for now it's only a single copy, although I hope to complete that set shortly) and I don't want to splash for Firespout . Until I can get 3 more Damnation , would Clone be at least a decent sideboard option? It'll come in as a copy of the beast, which could case a standstill (allowing me to continue on per usual). My only concern would be Lightning Bolt (although that can be solved through countermagic). Or is there a better option?

Simplest option: Don't run faeries. The R/G/W aggro and U/R/G aggro/midrange decks that one the Magic League tournament and are the only decks with good Anti-Fae matchups are pretty good. Apart from that: Edicts. Cruel Edict or Consuming Vapors. Consuming Vapors is better, but Cruel Edict is easier to get. If you run Fae/Teachings (advisable), then use a mystical teachings toolbox that includes Consume the Meek, or splash white for some white spot removal, like Path to Exile, Oust, or Condemn.
This might be a little far-reaching in terms of speculation, but which do you think would be better after Time Spiral Rotates out? I'd guess Consuming Vapors would probably be better due to the life gain off-setting Bitterblossom 's drawback and the fact that it doesn't nuke your own faeries.

Has anyone tested 5color mannequin yet? Well, obviously no one can actually test but do psuedo tests with friends using the new extended. As I remember that deck beat the snot out of everything before Lorwyns rotation and the new extended meta is pretty damn close to the meta in which that deck florished. In fact, it probably got a lot of new stuff from Zendikar and it does get 'Goyf from TSP.
Of course I'm sure I've gone mad. The little man who crawled out of my eye was quite clear on this.
Hmm. After Time Spiral goes, we lose Tarmogoyf, Grove/Punishing, the entire mystical teachings plan, and a lot of hugely important cards in every archetype. It all depends on scars. Izgor, do you think you could test it?

I've been thinking about that too...went up against Living End today and beat it 2-0 with a dumb aggro deck I made, got wrecked on the third game we played right after though...
I am sorry to say this, but very much doubt that Fae will b running any sweepers outside of splashing for Earthquake/Firespout, which doesn't hit their guys. If they do, it should be more of a help to any red-based player than to Fae. There's a reason why cards like Volcanic Fallout, and before that Firespout, were the answers to Fae - Fae depends on their guys. They spend life points to get them, and against a red deck, sweeping the table gives you nothing but inevitable doom.
I'd be more than glad to test this theory out with you, though, using the forbidden program. PM me or something. =)
