First of all, thank you for making M:TG Duels of the Planeswalkers. This game really brought back the joy of M:TG for me and my friends. What we love about it:
- (Xbox specific) The friend chatter while playing the game (even being 1800 miles apart)
- Being able to play again, without investing a lot of money and time rebuilding digital collections
- Ease of logging in, picking a deck and getting playing
- The smoothness of the game; in my opinion overall it runs very well
- The decks being relatively balanced against each other
- Every player, for the most part, has access to the exact same pool of cards
These things really make this a great game, one we will continue to play and buy expansions for as long as they come. That all being said, though, there are definately areas that we would love to see improved or expanded as well. The largest complaint we have is that my friend and I cannot play two headed giant co-op campain together. This seems really strange that a game made for on-line multiplayer play would only allow co-op campain when both friends are at the same place. (Does not work in our case since I'm in Arizona and he is in Wisconsin.) If you could change this, it would be absolutely wonderful. Other areas that would be wonderful to see improvement on, some already stated on this board, would be allowed editing of the basic deck (does not have to be 100%, maybe each expansion you can only edit +20% of the basic deck) We absolutely love the fact that the card choices for each player is exactly the same, the skill then comes in what you choose to do with those cards. A draft setting where you get to play a game with the cards would be outstanding, understood that the cards would vanish after the game. A final suggestion would be to enter in Planechase cards, if posible, since I am part of the audience that loves to play with those cards. Thank you again for this game, it is really nice to be able to play with close friends again in the casual basement or college dorm room style mosh. Again, I cannot say how enjoyable this is. Please consider the suggestions here as you continue to produce expansions for this game. Thank you again, Brian Barkow

I'm hoping for a full deck editor with expansion 3. I think M:TG DOtP is a great game but my biggest complaint is the new AI issues and the issues with connection.

Just jumping on this because I too love this game. I have not played paper magic for years (I'm 36) but this game is super fun. I know many people want a full deck editor but I don't think it's needed. That fact that everyone has access to the same decks makes it feel a little like chess to me. In chess you can't edit out pawns because you think they are weak......you gotta deal with it, you and every other player.
Thanks again for the game, right now it's the only thing I play when I have time.

I agree; despite its flaws, Duels of the Planeswalkers is a great translation and a really fun game. I think people who play this would be turned on to the card game, and that is all you can ask for.
Thanks again for all your hard work!

Yep. It's a great game and in general you see a lot of people here complaining about various issues in the game that makes it sound a lot worse than what it is.
I like Magic as a game a lot and I have absolutely no intention of getting into the real game (either via real cards or MTGO) so DOTP is a great low-cost way for me to get into it.
All I'm asking for is that more expansions are released for DOTP so we can get more decks in the game. Or perhaps a full-priced retail release with 30 or more decks?

I have to agree. All in all this is the best game for XBLA, in my opinion.

I'm also inclined to agreed with all the above posts. This game allows me to engage in the fantastic gameplay that Magic has to offer without having to throw down a ton of money in order to keep up with my opponents. Having all the cards accessible promotes a more strategic way of playing, instead of being able to simply out-play someone because you spent more money on cards than they have.
The interface is flawless, the graphics are very nice, the mechanics are incredible, and having the ability to play via LIVE (and soon Steam) creates a competitive environment that isn't rivaled by many other games on the market currently.
