Doing it wrong is all I have to say. You draw a card from pacifisms and crystallize.

Like Uril I think the +2/+2 is a distraction.

Or Guard Duty... but as I said, Enchantress is still in the format as well... and that lets you draw off Sigil of the Empty Throne as well... your likely win-condition

Funny as it may sound to some, I feel like Uril could potentially be retarded good in some kind of control shell post Eldrazi.  Not sure just how viable it would be, but....how in the hell would you kill the guy with the aura's they have now?  He'd be untouchable.

I guess Edict Effects would still work, but maybe the deck could run jank-a** stuff like Lapse of Certainty to hold off on those kind of spells until Uril's bashed face enough to win.

......probably not.

I picked up some playsets of a few cards.  Some for obvious reasons, and some for "I think this could be really good at some point down the road" reasons.  I'm pretty excited about making a deck with Vengevine and Momentous Fall, along side Bloodbraid Elf , Ranger of Eos , and Kor Skyfisher .  The results are retarded so far in testing with proxies.  Like someone already mentioned, Momentous Fall and Vengevine win games between the two of them.  As long as I have a skyfisher or BBE in hand, it's like I have a 4/3 haster I can draw 4 and gain 3 off of, and then he comes back over and over again like the f****** energizer bunny.  He will see heavy play, whether it's with Ranger, BBE, or a combination of the two.  Even after shards rotates out, as long as Skyfisher is in standard, Vengevine will be relevant.  I think he could even shape some crazy archetype somewhere down the road a la B/R Demigod.....no where near as powerful or fast, mind you, or at least I hope not.

The 2 drop blue doppleganger seems like he's extremely underrated.  I'm sure there's some kind of interaction that we're all missing, and once it's found we'll be like "OMFG HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS COMING."

Uril is pretty much the only creature the new auras are going to help because he can't be removed at instant speed to give you the card disadvantage. Uril with an aura is basicly immortal because a sweeper only kills the aura. Honestly without the +2/+2 he's not bad at all as a 5/5 enemy shroud for 5 mana. That's far more efficient than Jwar Jwar because you can still target him, the problem before ROE is that Naya has far more effective cards at the 5 slot, but he could be viable after ROE. I would be surprised if he isn't.

I'm sure they'll be something with the Doppleganger, but as it is he is a 0/1 when he's not in another form. The main advantage I can see is that if your opponent does not have instant speed removal, the Dopplegang is effectively a hasted version of whatever creature you play that turn.

But try this on, if you played the Doppleganger is a deck with allies, you could have it copy Umara Raptor. In this scenario, I believe you could switch it to be a Raptor, and then it would get a +1/+1 counter for the real Raptor coming into play. Then it would keep that +1/+1 counter for any other forms it took. So, let's say you brought in a different creature that needed a +1/+1 counter to do something exciting, you would already have the +1/+1 counter and you could do whatever it was immediately.

Perhaps the Doppleganger decks will work like the Mimic decks worked in the Shadowmoor block.

Vengevine
Wall of Omens
Momentus fall

All of these will see alot of play. I think that the meta will be very jumpy for a while after the realease till a dominant deck wins out and balances the meta game. First I'm guessing vengevine and green beats will emerge but then will lose to control which will lose to really fast aggro till control starts playing walls then a mid range deck, most likely jund will stablise the meta again.

I personally hope that boros or fish can make it in the post RoE meta although that all depends on what decks emerge.

Also MBC will see alot of play, consuming vapors is just class.

The only scenario I can envision where consuming vapors does not see a lot of play is one in which everyone is playing with lots of Sprouting Tharinaxes and Eldrazi Spawn generators.

but where DID the other fork come from?

Lord_Zed:
I was at my friends house when this happened. He's married and his wife was an excellent baker. She had baked a homemade apple pie the night before.

I was hungry, and my friend convinced me to try those low carb monster drinks. Before this day, I had never triend energy drinks before.

Boy was I in for a treat.

When I tried that first monster, I really enjoyed the flavor, but the taste that it left in my mouth wasn't so good. What was my solution? Drink another!

before I could finish drinking that 2nd monster, I felt it already kicking in(these drinks were not very far apart, we're talking minutes here) my friend decided that it was a good idea to whip out that fresh pie his wife made the night before. I didn't know what to do, since I felt incredibly invigorated, and at the same time, freaked out by the rush I was feeling, but I was also hungry, and my friend have me an entire plate with a fork and said "help yourself." He extended his saucer to me, and I cut him a piece of the pie and handed it to him, then I looked at the pie, noticed that the pie was in an aluminum holder, and dumped the entire pie onto my plate and started eating it with 2 forks. I don't know where I found that other fork, it probably came from my friend. Anyhow, his wife wasn't happy, and I was already in magical christmas land. 2 days later, I was in my friends bed and I slept for 14 hours.

His wife outlawed my from having any of her baked goods for a while(which sucked because I could just show up at there house, steal some sweets, and leave) and said I couldn't have any energy drinks at her house, unless under close watch.

My friend, on the other hand, had to take me out to a steak dinner, because apparently I won a bet where I climbed a tree and didn't die.

The great land debate:
