Well, there was both a joke about hybrid mana... and a preview card that was analogous to Figure of Destiny  , but requiring only  instead of allowing  or  . Most of the jokes were clearly things that could not be in the set, although one or two were remote possibilities. And, of course, the purple mana joke did relate to someone proposing in these groups that the set might use a new color of mana. I'm still disappointed that the name of Tropical Island  prevented Mirage from having a whole cycle of Tropical Land basic lands that worked just like Ice Age's Snow Lands. We could have had many subsequent sets include regular basic lands, snow lands, and tropical lands, with an interesting balancing act between them.
Coming up with weird ideas to make everyone happy since 2008!  I have now started a blog as an appropriate place to put my crazy ideas.

That was pretty funny. I'm still a little sad that this set's levelers have nothing to do with Grandaddy Leveler . - Hasbro has no plans for a My Little Eldrazi tie-in.
