Maybe you didn't hear what I said or didn't understand:

These are the after-market post-collector traded-hands value of old booster packs, ok?
Approximations

www.trollandtoad.com

Alpha Booster pack: $699 (0 in stock, last sold for this amount)
Beta Booster pack: $524.99 (0 in stock, currently place Im looking at has 1 box available for $15999.99)
Unlimited Booster pack: $209.99 (0 in stock)
Antiquities Booster pack: $60 (0 in stock)
Arabian Nights: They dont even have a listing for this they had a box sell for $8499
Legends: $69.99 (15 english packs in stock)
The Dark: $6.99 (34 packs in stock)

EVERYTHING AFTER THIS PERIOD IS NOT RARE. AT ALL. ok?

Revised packs sell for $20~ from ppl wanting dual lands. You can get some deals on foreign white border too. The other day I found 2 Serendib Efreet white-border french 3rd Edition for sale for like $2 each so I bought them I thought they were cool.. they had the printing error corrected so they had the original Arabian Nights art and were properly blue.

Again,
To everyone reading this dont be a sucker and get swindled paying out your nose for Revised dual lands. THEY'RE WORTHLESS. Relative to Unlimited? Pay the extra $5 and get a 2nd Edition print instead. Frig.. I spent less than $3 and got a blue Serendib Efreet . They're not worth any more. Revised is not special.

Portal 2nd Age booster pack $7.99
Portal Three Kingdoms pack $49.99 (0)

Third Kingdoms is very rare there are some cards in here like Rolling Earthquake worth a few hundred dollars. Portal 2nd Age I'm not sure about but I assume it's uncommon enough as well, Sea Drake is not a highly played card it is an uncommon in this set and will sell for like $30.

Everything else is hype.

The booster packs like Ice Age, Fallen Empires, Homelands, 4th Edition, Tempest, Exodus, Stronghold, etc etc etc... these are not expensive. Tempest sells for a fair amount because it is full of total bombs on the commons sheet like Mogg Fanatic , Muscle Sliver , Lotus petal , etc.. fireworks come out of Tempest packs when you open them. They're not rare though. It's just one of the best sets ever. Opening Tempest packs is like opening 7 packs of another set in terms of things you will play with that are constructed worthy it is good value at $10 when you get down to it.

What you're proposing -> Masques forwards..

It is pointless.

There are booster packs of everything Fallen Empires and after wards coming out of my ears. Except for the two portal sets I mentioned. There are plenty of these cards going around that is why Strip Mine and Mishra's Factory are like $4 its because it's all over the place. I trip over Ice Age cards when I go into a store there is so much product Fallen Empires and onwards that they cant get rid of it.

The masques forwards idea simply is not necessary. The problem childs are Legends, Antiquities, The Dark, A/B/U, and people swindling each other on dual lands. Portal Three Kingdoms and 2nd Age ya theyre cool.. but theres nothing in there you'd pull out your hair over for being rare it's just bonus.

Which is why Revised being on the reserved list is so silly they are reprinted cards and any cards from this set have no business being on the Reserved list. If they simply decided to take 3rd Edition off the Reserved List none of this would even be an issue. The onyl cards people really need are the dual lands. Everything else it is cool but it doesnt need a reprint right-this-very-moment.

But no they wouldnt take the off the one set that doesnt fit. That solution would be too easy. *ROLLS EYES*
