Insane. It may have been blunt, but it was accurate in that half of the cards ong listed as answers are unplayable.

Seriously, whoever reported that needs to go put some baby powder on their bottom.

Which half? Most of them appear either in the main deck or sideboard (or in a couple cases are still in spoilers only) of well placing decks.

1 Doom Blade (random Vampires sideboards)
2 Tendrils Of Corruption (Vampires)
3 Hideous End (random Vampires sideboards)
4 Bituminous Blast (Jund)
5 Path To Exile (almost any standard white inclusive deck)
6 Terminate (Jund)
7 Dark Temper   (*exception to the rule)
8 Burst Lightning (kicked) (Red Deck Wins)
9 Smother (in spoilers)
10 Goblin Ruinblaster (Jund)
11 Tectonic Edge (in spoilers currently)
12 Acidic Slime (Eldrazi Green)
13 Mold Shambler (Eldrazi Green)

At most you can rule out 3 of them... Doom Blade, Hideous End, and Dark Temper. The rest either see play in the main decks or sideboards of high placing decks. So, please let's not exaggerate.

Also, this is off-topic and off-point... point was in the post above this one.

How many of your friendships have lasted more than ten years? Which of your current friendships do you still feel will be important to you ten years from now?

Wow

I've seen Ong make some borderline arguments, but this is just way off the edge.

We're comparing 4 toughness to 3 toughness in this meta. Not 4 toughness to 5.

But I'm not going to formulate a longer argument. It just isn't worth it anymore.

honestly I was pretty shocked, considering my post was completely on topic to the current "discussion".

my posts have been modded into oblivion lately, it's ridiculous.

That's very sad! The mods here are getting kind of overhanded...

Glux has always been a valued contributor! And his posts are funny despite being caustic. :P Is there any way to protest?

I thought we were comparing the quailty of the ability and the strength of the land in aggro decks... that's the way it looked to me. Most of the rest appear to be geared to control but with possible aggro application...not the white/green

Nope, I was saying that 4 toughness gives the GW manland an edge because it can't be bolted and every other way of killing it will kill the others as well.('cept doomblade)

Do you really think that trade off is worth the loss of Trample?

None of the other standard legal ones have trample.  I think of Raging Ravine as being the Treetop village of the set anyways.  I think of this one as Nantuko monastary but with the ability to create colored mana and without the resistriction of threshold.
