Hey I've been out of magic for a little over a year because of deployment and haven't posted in the forums much yet, anyway. Correct me is this is a dur on my part, has anyone brought up linking Scapeshift to landfall? Landfall cards like .Ob Nixilis, the Fallen?

Not Ob, who is slow (at 5 CMC with double B) and vulnerable (a creature with no protection or shroud or w/e), but Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle. This essentially makes Scapeshift a 1-card combo, which is awesome.

Does that actually work with valakut?
Yeah, it's a pretty well represented deck in the format, and was decently played at worlds.

I hate it when people say that so much. Fine when you play it you win the game, but you have to devote your deck to being able to do so. That's like saying "OMG BATTLE OF WITS IS A ONE CARD COMBO BROKEN ALERT!!!!!!1111"

a few years ago a friend of mine refused to play against my casual Battle of Wits deck because he couldnt beat it, even though i had only 1 copy of the spell and had no way to get it in hand besides card drawing spells

theres also a hybraid deck that uses typically zoo creatures, but adds steppe lynx and plate geopede to the mix, and then the valakut scapeshift combo
