Battlegrace Angel?
Empyrial Archangel?
Emeria Angel?
Stoic Angel?
or even Luminarch Ascension might does the job in a arrgo deck?

I kinda want to build a bant arrgo mid deck. I think Stoic angel might do a pretty good job on stopping some arrgo deck and somehow (?) works like blinding angel.

Battlegrace Angel kinda fits the exalted theme of bant.

Ameria angel is not bad but seems doesnt fit the deck.

Empyrial Archangel might be expensive, but by all the mana creature like bird of paradise and noble hierarch it could be casted on turn 5 or so.

Battlegrace is the most literal budget version of Baneslayer...
New quotes from the Worldwake talk:

Mike Turian: I think the Jorage Warcaller is a Constructed playable Multikicker card
Mike Turian: While Mark Rosewater made Tarmogoyf, I made Tarmogoyf what he is today
Mark Rosewater: Would we ever reprint Tarmogoyf? Maybe.
Mike Turian: Urge to Feed used to have multikicker
Mark Rosewater: The complaint from the public was "enough multicolor"
XXXX: I made Goliath Sphinx because we like to make a "simple" rare

Battlegrace or Serra Angel I would suggest. But Sphinx of Jwar Isle also makes a good finisher in a Bant deck.

I love World Queller for the 5 CC slot, it's a stax on legs. Totally different angle but still has that KILL OR DIE thing going on.

World Queller sounds cool! I always thought you HAVE TO use that ability every turn but I misread it. I passed one last week when I was drafting because I opened him on my third pack and i was making a B/G deck ughh

Sphinx of the Jwar sounds good! but does that fit aggro deck or fit more on control side?

A 5/5 for six mana, with evasion and Shroud (plus Jwar-Jwar likes peak-a-boo a lot). So, it costs a little more than the other, more Angelic options. It also doesn't have first strike or lifelink but it is a bomb that your opponent as to deal with. Essentially, it's a "win more" card. It's not going to bring you back if you are too far gone... but if you are near even or slightly ahead you will be winning when it resolves.

What is your creature mana curve? What are you running and what do they cost?

Emeria angel, felidar sovereign, and stoic angel would be the best budget versions of baneslayer angel.

battlegrace angel would not be a good choice, because what baneslayer angel does is blocks dragons and gains life. if you block with battlegrace angel, you gain no life, and she dies to dragons. so felidar sovereign would be better as it can block and still gain you life, and his loss of flying is not relevant as any flyer (dragons, nighthawks) would trade with battlegrace angel.

I'd go with the sovereign or stoic angel.
Stoic angel, while she gains you no life, still stalls against aggro, which is what baneslayer angel does. lifegain can be more relevant when you're low at life, but the difference in mana cost and the magnitude of help stoic angel can be might also be advantageous. most situations it won't matter, although the mana cost might.
"many times the "freedoms" we have in the real world are thought to translate over to other mediums and this isn't always the case. Think about when you're in school or work. You can't just spew out curse words. You will likely get suspended or reprimanded if you do. In America ... you have the freedom of speech, but establishments independent of the government have a right to regulate operations within themselves as a part of free trade and freedom from government oversight."

While she might do that, what baneslayer really does is win races. You cant beat 10 lifeswing a turn really...
Battlegrace angel does that job almost exactly, and gets you the lifegain a turn earlier. DEFINATLY the budget baneslayer if there ever was one.
