The big question for me is whether or not to drop Tendrils for Vapors. I know Vapors is a favorite of most, but I really like the instant speed of tendrils and I tend to forget to rebound Consuming Vapors.
What i usually do with vapors to remember is to put it on top of my deck facing up so when it's my upkeep it's there saying her don't forget about me lol

I rarely ever forget because I have myself situated so I can't forget. I have my Library, and directly under it is my graveyard. Above it is where I keep my artifacts and enchantments, and directly to the left is where my exiled zone is.
I also play weird and have my deck on my left instead of my right despite being right handed. Everyone else plays with it on their right.

has anyone used Kalastria Highborn , shes just insane with bloodghast ect. i mean she'd shine more ni the highborne/mortician beetle version but shes seems good to play. i mean, vampire nighthawk is good, 2/3 for 3 with lifelink death though and evasion HOWEVER, kalastria is fast, and sets up horrible situations for your opponets while thinking of blocks, i mean, when is it not good to make the opponet NOT BLOCK and take damage because blocking AND KILLING your creatures is even worse. not to mention it really punishes targetted removal.

I'm not an expert or anything, but Vampire Nighthawk has won me more games than Kalastria Highborn. They both change the way your opponent plays, but for some reason Nighthawk seems like a bigger threat. Maybe it's just my playgroup though.

Highborne is sick and she definitely fits into vampire decks. Her real strength is late-game, when you can drop her and still have 4-5 mana untapped, then swing with the house. If the house includes a couple of bloodghasts, you're guaranteed to hit the opponent. That said, IMHO, with the addition of Guul-Draz assassin, her # of spots in the deck has decreased from 3-4 to probably 2.
If possible, get both nighthawk & highborn into your deck. If you can have Highborn in play when your nighthawk comes out, you get a little value out of the inevitable removal spell your opponent will throw at him

I am gonna play Devil's Advocate and say no on Kalastria. I dropped my Bloodghast and Hexmages down to a 3 of to fit 2 in my deck, and most of the time I found that I rarely had extra mana to activate her ability. In the end, I cut her out to keep Bloodghast and Hexmages at 4x because they were almost always more useful.
I am not saying Kalastria is a bad card and that you should not use her. Whether you use her or not is entirely personal preference. In my experiance playing her, she never made game changing plays and never won the game for me either.

I did win an Epic game with Kalastria Highborn . It was my turn and I was at 1 life and my opponent was at 4. He had an Armored Ascension and a Veteran Armorsmith . I had Kalastria Highborn and Sorin Markov . I used Sorin's ability to bring my opponent to 2 and I swung with Kalastria and offered the handshake. My opponent didn't think it was over so he "blocked my puny 2/2 with his flying 7/7" at which point I tapped my mana to finish him off. He didn't read the card

A spoiler from M11 reveals... Spoiler:
Show
Captivating Vampire 1BB (Rare) Creature – Vampire Other Vampires you control get +1/+1. Tap five untapped vampires you control : You gain control of target creature. It becomes vampire in addition to other types. 2/2 So does this mean ol' Noc is out? Do you think this will help or hinder vamps as a deck? Personally, I am not too enthused by this guy over Noc, but I guess at least the +1/+1 is static and not dependant on your topdeck. He could work well in conjunction with Nocturnus but in the long run.... I don't see the tap 5 coming into play much but who knows.

highborn is good, but it comes down to i either play high born or nighthawk, i cant play both. here my current deck list Vampire Tek Creatures - 20 4x Gatekeeper of Malakir 4x Bloodghast 3x Kalastria Highborn 3x Vampire Hexmage 3x Malakir Bloodwitch 3x Vampire Nocturnus Removal - 7 4x Tendrils of Corruption 2x Disfigure 1x Smother Card Disruption - 6 3x Mind Sludge 3x Mire's Toll Other Spells - 5 4x Grim Discovery 1x Suffer The Past Land - 22 8 - Fetchs 14x swamps --- i choose mire's toll over duress because vamp is like a mid range aggro control deck. we run more than usual amount of removal mostly because of gatekeepers built in ability. and we try to control the mid game for noc and bloodwtich finishes. mire's toll hits lands and creatures which seems more relevant than duress. its alot slower, but alot better imo. kalastria seems better than nighthawk, but maybe not, im still unsure but kalastria has been great for me especiall with bloodghast. grim discovery seems great and thins your deck with the fetchlands to boot. grim discovery acts as additonal gatekeepers for removal or hexmages for walker hate. its pretty fun when you are down on life to tendrils a blood witch then bring it back with discovery for an additonal drain life affect, ive actually won a game like this. suffer the past is like my random late game fireball if the board gets stagnant. kalastria helps with this too as killing my creatures still damages you. the 2x disfigures and the 1x smother may seem out of place, i just want to have a few options. with 7 removal spells, and 4 gate keepers which can be grim discovery targets, i feel i haev more than enough removal. my side board is mainly aimed at aggro decks, with small amoutns of added hand disruption. i also run sadistic sac. for the comboish decks, removing devestating summons or sphinx or something. removing jacve is always fun. 2x Inquisition of kozilek 3x Sadistic Sacrament 2x Vendetta -with a decent amount of lifegain this is a great removal spell. 3x Deathmark - naya ramp is one of my worst matchups. 2x Consume the meek - mostly for token decks 2x smother 1x suffer the past
