Well done, Zac. I am so pleased to have met you at Grand Prix: Indianapolis in 2008--though I didn't really meet you, of course; we just talked briefly about Shadowmoor Limited and then we went our separate ways. I believe the heart of this article, the moral of the story you're trying to tell, is a deceptively simple one: be guided by what makes you happy. The most perfect plan isn't so perfect if it isn't fulfilling. Magic, for you, is fulfilling, and I'm glad you were able to realize your dream. The last line of the coverage piece I wrote after talking to you about Shadowmoor Limited is, "You should be fine if you follow Zac’s advice: 'Just go with the flow.'" How unbelievably fitting--for the events that followed--for life in general.

I've not commented on an article in quite some time; I've not felt a desire to. Excellent work, sir. This is art.

Dear Zac Hill,
Grinning a dopey grin after reading Got There. Feeling like you deserve it, not because you're brilliant and work hard, though I'm sure you are, and I'm sure you do, but because you appreciate it. Like the thousands of wishers around the world appreciate, you do. I hope someday everyone, myself included, finds the happiness that you find in their work. Brendan
