I wonder how adding 2 or 3 Emeria, the Sky Ruin would work in here...

I've found it does a lot of nothing, I usually hope to have won before I get that many lands, it's not like I ever plan on kicking the pledge. I also run less lands though, so having my second land ETB: taped is a problem.

I'm surprised at the lack of captain of the watch. I know it's expensive at six mana, but it's amazing in white soldier decks... it could also be fun with two or three Emeria, the Sky Ruin thrown in.

I recommend you consider Brave the Elements. It's a great trick for alpha striking and it saves your team from Volcanic Fallout.

Indeed brave the elements over soul warden. Pesonally I'm a huge fan of soul warden in the right deck, but I really don't think this is it. I'm trying to get ranger of eos now before it goes up in price but there don't seem to be enough in my area to go around right now.

I posted a deck just like that in response to a Vampire thread and got asked by some scrub "why is that list so bad."

Now again...I have no words for this budget build. For example: These are the decks which can be constructed much cheaper than the soldiers and have a nice potential. I'd be saying that creating a cascade Jund deck without Maelstrom's will be possibly the same cost or cheaper than those Soldiers but anyway here is the list: TurboFog - with new Zen Crabs and 1 Jace Beleren TurboDreams/Megrim combo - Underworld Dreams, Howling Mines, Font's, Blightnings, Kederekts, Megrims Kor - without Honor and PtE but with Brave Elements Eqiup and all kinds of creature/permanent removal like Rings, Pacifism and Journey to Nowhere Vampires - are great but not budget anymore R/G Landfall Aggro - nearly the strongest deck among budget ones whith probably the lowest price among others. Progemorph - good combining can make this deck nearly impossible to beat - we afraid cards like thought hemmorage only((( Sigil of the empty throne post Zen - it seems quite nice - the only non budget thing there is a new Angel Foundry - Luminarch Ascension Think and combine - build and win! There are a lot of possibilities to create real budget and strong decks. Once again I mention my group where you can post you'r own ideas and builds(it's here in the community): community.wizards.com/cards

I'm trying something for the grand prix this weekend involving white weenie. But Kor rather than soldiers featuring bone saw + kor skyfisher, armament master/conqueror's Pledge supported by brave the elements. Kor Sanctifiers and Kor Hookmaster seem fine in this deck too, not sure about Kor Outfitters or which other equipment to include. Path to exile? I'm also not sure how stable it is but Brave the Elements makes it viable and potent.
